Lia's POV
I slowly open my eyes when I heard voices around me.
"Oh, we didn't mean to wake you up"
"It's okay"
I rub my eyes and look around. I pull my body from the couch and directly went to ryujin's bed. I kissed her forehead and gently caress her cheek.
"Good morning love.."
"Lia here, we brought you clothes"
"Thanks chae" I responded
"And, we ordered food. Here, you like pasta right?"
I nodded to yeji "Thanks guys but I don't feel like eating"
"You need to at least have a spoon"
"Maybe later. I'll go change clothes"
I went to the bathroom and change my clothes. The dress that I was wearing was stained with blood everywhere so I decided to wash up myself first. After that, I went outside.
I didn't leave ryujin's side the whole day, yuna came to visit together with ryujin's mom and grandmother. My mom and junsu came too. Minju with her girlfriend also stop by.
"Excuse me ma'am, ma'am?"
"Y-yes?"
"Are you okay ma'am? You look so pale"
"I-I'm okay. A little dizzy but I'm okay"
The nurse nodded and continue to make her rounds. I stood up and everything started spinning. I close my eyes and take a deep breath.
I'm okay, I'm okay.
Days passed but still ryujin haven't woken up yet.
"Sweetheart, you need to eat. Look at you, you're so pale and thin"
"Mom.."
"How about you go home tonight, you really need to rest"
When ryujin started to have unpredictable changes, I decided to not go home for the mean time and just stay by her side.
"I don't want to leave her alone"
"But sweetheart.."
"Mom, ryujin need me. I know I need to be by her side"
Mom gently nodded and handed me another set of clothes.
"You need to at least eat lia"
I'm sorry mom. I really don't feel like eating.
"Please?"
"I'll try mom"
She kissed my forehead and stood up. We walk to the door and at the exact time yuna, chae and yeji enter the room.
"Girls, take care of yourselves okay?"
"Yes, Mrs. Choi" they said in unison "Take care"
Mom smiled and exited.
"Take care mom"
"Take care sweetheart"
After that she walk away.
I closed the door and turn back. Yeji, chae and yuna stood behind me.
"What's going on?"
"Nothing. I just wanted to ask you for a dance" yeji said
"Why?" I ask and chuckle
"Are you rejecting me?"
"Stop it yeji" I said and laugh
Yuna played a slow song and chae dimmed the lights.
"Are you guys serious?"
"Yep" she said and pull me
"You should be dancing with chae" I said
"Chae loves dancing with yuna" she responded and laugh
I look behind and chuckle. They're doing funny movements.
I'm so happy to meet this kind of friends, I know they did this to lift up my mood. Yeji then spin me around.
"Thank you being with ryujin" yeji suddenly said
"I will always be with her"
"I know she lied a lot to you but she just wanted to protect you. She loves you so much lia"
We swayed our body to the song.
"She wanted to be with you. You're her safe haven"
"Thank's ye - aaah"
"Hey, you alright?"
I feel so dizzy and my stomach is aching in pain.
"I'm dizzy.."
"Unnie, what happened?"
"Here sit down"
Chae pull a sit and made me sat down.
Chae's POV
Lia is having cold sweats and her breathing started to be heavy.
"Let's go see a doctor" I said
"N-no, I'm okay. I'm okay"
"Unnie!"
"I n-need to be with ryu-jin" lia responded
She can't even properly talk because of her breathings!
"Please lia, you can't take care of ryujin if you're not okay yourself" yeji said "Yuna and I will be watching ryujin"
"Let's go lia"
Lia look behind at ryujin and nodded. She slowly stand up but still she almost tripped down. I hold her waist and hand. Her hands are so cold. We walk outside and that's when I saw her lips so pale, her eyes are half close and she can't properly walk.
We were directly assisted by a nurse and put us inside a room. Her dizziness and stomach ache is due to lack of sleep and because she's not eating. The doctor advises lia to rest for days and eat properly so she can gain back her strength.
"But I can't leave ryujin. I don't want to leave ryujin" she said
"Lia, you heard what the doctor said. You need rest"
"But chae, I need to be with ryujin"
"Lia if you still insist, your body will eventually give up and you need to extend more days for recovery, that means more days to be away with ryujin. Do you want that?"
She sigh and shake her head.
"Then, rest"
Lia's POV
Before going home, I stop by at ryujin's room. I really don't want to leave, I wanted to stay with her. Make sure she's okay. I would be crazy if I don't see her. What if something happen and I wasn't there by her side?
"Love, please don't give up okay?"
I kiss her cheeks and her hand.
"I'll be back okay? I love you"
"Let's go lia"
I brought my bag and followed yeji, before going out I looked at ryujin one last time.
Please wake up love.
"Have a lots of rest unnie"
I nodded and walk outside. I hop on yeji's car as she drive me home.
"Thank you yeji"
"Rest well okay?"
"I will. Take care"
"You too. I'll keep you updated"
"Thanks. Have a safe driving"
Yeji beep the car before driving away. The cold night travel all over my body. My mom greeted me and I immediately went to my room.
I need to gain back my strength as soon as possible.
