"Klaus..."
"Sorry sister, this is payback, you wanted a war, and you've got one" The hybrid hissed before Rebekah fell forwards on to his shoulder... "why the hell aren't you desiccating?"
LEOS POV
I feel like I searched the whole perimeter of the house, and nothing. There was nothing. It must have been a branch or something , I don't know... but right now... the only thing on my mind is Rebekah... her beautiful full lips, her long blonde hair, her smile, her big blue eyes... god, she makes me feel a certain way that I can't even explain.
"Rebekah, I couldn't see any..." I call out as I re-enter the room that I left Rebekah in. But my words were cut short when I saw Klaus. "Klaus?" I say quietly before I notice the blonde hair on his shoulder...
"She's bleeding? Why is she bleeding? Why is she not desiccating?" Klaus started to raise his voice and my heart instantly dropped. Rebekah.
"What did you do to her!?" I bellow before furiously speeding over towards him and taking my love out of his arms, supporting her head with my arm, I picked her up gently and lay her on the couch next to us... that's when I noticed. The dagger in her heart. "What the hell did you do!?" I practically scream, turning around and grabbing Klaus by both sides of his black jacket...
THIRD PERSON POV
Being taken back by how strong Leo has become in the last century , the hybrid looked down into the Salvatore's piercing eyes, "It was payback, old friend" Klaus then looked over at his lifeless sister... "why isn't she desiccating?" He repeated , this time he pushed Leo off him and walked over to his sister... "And why! Is she bleeding?"
"She's human!" Leo yelled "you killed her! You! Evil bastard!" With that Leo sprung across the room, tears falling from his eyes... but he didn't care, although this fight would only end in one person dying... Leo was adamant he was going to make Klaus regret this...
The words 'Shes human!' Replayed in Klaus' head for a moment ... Leo had given the original hybrid a few good blows before , klaus dropped to his knees... unable to fight...
"GET UP AND FIGHT ME" Leo shouted, giving the British-man a heavy right hand punch.
But still. There was no fight from Klaus.

"Damon..." Elena moaned as her fiancé kissed down her neck... thats until she heard thuds, loud bangs... and screams... "can you hear that?" She managed to say before pulling Damons head up to meet hers...
They let silence fill the room until they heard...
"YOU KILLED HER!"
"I did that time" Damon furrowed his brows before jumping off Elena, he knew that voice...
Quickly, the two wriggled into their clothes that were spread across the door and used their vamp speed to hurry to the loud noises ...

Stefan was about to drift off into a sleep when he heard...
"GET UP AND FIGHT ME"
"Leo?" Stefan raised his brow before sprinting his way out of his room and to see what was going on...

KLAUS' POV
I...I killed my sister. My Rebekah.
More and more kicks and blows were given to me... but nothing. Nothing! Hurt more than knowing I killed my sister.
"Leo! Leo what're you doing! Stop" I heard from around the room...
I let my eyes open as the strikes stopped, that's when I saw both Salvatore brothers pulling young Leo off me...
"He killed her!" Leo yelled trying his hardest to break free from his brothers hold "Let me go!"
"What did you do Klaus?" Stefan managed to say as he was holding onto one of his brothers arms
"I thought you were daggered" The older Salvatore said through gritted teeth, desperately holding his brother...
I couldn't speak... I couldn't even move.
THIRD PERSON POV
"Oh my god" Elena threw her hand over her mouth, when her eyes laid upon the blonde woman that was now in a small puddle of blood...
"What is it 'Lena" Damon called out , this time it was easier to speak as Leo's anger turned to sadness.
"I...I killed her" Klaus wiped the tear forming in his eye...
"What?" Stefan's mouth fell open "wha... why?"
The youngest Salvatore fell to his knees... trying to process what was actually happening...
"I didn't know she was..." Klaus started "I..."
"Get out" Leo sniffled "Get. Out." He repeated before standing to his feet.
"She's my siste..." Klaus tried to speak
"Your sister who you killed" Leo spat "now leave"
"Leo ..." Stefan made sure one of his hands stayed on his brothers shoulder
"I'm okay Stefan!" He snapped
LEOS POV
I've never felt pain like this. Never.
Once I finally let my anger subside, all I could feel was pain, unbearable pain. "She's...gone" My voice was shaking and I could hardly speak as I crawled my way next to Rebekah's body... "it's all my fault..."
"It's not your fault , Leo" Elena moved beside me...
"Yes it is" I closed my eyes , feeling the tears roll down my cheek ... "I should never have left her"
The room was now rid of Klaus...
Both Stefan and Damon looked at each other... "we need to do something" Stefan mouthed silently
"What the hell are we supposed to do?!" Damon mouthed back , still silent.
"I... I can't believe it" My tears were streaming as I took one of Rebekah's cold hands in mine... placing a soft kiss on the back of it... her human, warm touch had now disappeared.
"Leo... you're going to be okay" Elena tried soothing me as she turned my head to face her, "listen to me okay..."
"I'm... I'm never going to be okay , Elena" I said quietly ...
Damon crouched to my other side and put an arm around my shoulder, "Leo, this is going to hurt like a bitch for..."
"You don't understand" I snap, moving my eyes back on to Rebekah, her glowing cheeks were now a shade of pale white... "I can't live without her!"
Stefan stayed silent, but I could almost hear him thinking... "Leo, this will get better, okay?"
Nothing is ever going to be better. I know what I have to do...there's only one thing that will make this pain go away. "I have to turn it off"

THIRD PERSON POV
Caroline and Bonnie sat together, playing board games and drinking hot chocolate, that was until there was a knock at the door...
"Who could that be?" Bonnie raised a brow
"I'll go" Caroline pushed herself to her feet... when she opened the front door her eyes widened and her heart felt like it stopped beating for a moment "Klaus!"
"Hello, love" He said sheepishly "can I please... come inside?"
Without another word, Caroline moved to the side and let the hybrid walk through , "what's wrong? How are you he..."
"Kol took the dagger out" Klaus mumbled , "however, he failed to mention one of the two people I wanted revenge against ... was human"
"Rebekah" The blonde stated...
"I killed her" The hybrid looked down at his hands... "I killed my sister"
Bonnies eyes opened wide whilst Caroline's eyes softened in sympathy, she placed a comforting hand on his shoulder and whispered... "klaus..."
"I don't want your sympathy , Caroline" He moved the blondes hand off him, "I killed my bloody sister!"
"I'm... gonna go" Bonnie cringed slightly before walking out of the room, "see you soon , care..." And with that the Bennett left...
"Klaus...you need to calm..." Caroline tried to speak
"I need to calm down?" The Mikaelson scoffed , "you want me to calm down after I've just..."
"I know...I know" The blonde tried again, "But klaus..."
"Don't you get it Caroline?" He stood up , "Elijah and Kol will never! Forgive me! I'm better of dead!"
"Hey... listen to me okay" She took his face, and cupped both sides, "I'm not going to leave you"
Staring into her blue eyes, "yes you will, you'll leave me... you have Stefan, your friends ... everything you could want..."
"You want to know what I want?" Caroline spoke sternly , "what I've been trying to hard to have since you were daggered!?"
The hybrid just listened...
"You! What I want it you! And I'm not giving up on you Klaus, I've waited so long to tell you this... and I've denied it for so long , but..." She took a deep breath , "I love you!"
Klaus' heart began to beat a little faster, "you...you..."
"Me and Stefan... we're not together, want to know why?" Her hands didn't move from his cheeks, as she brushed her thumb back and forth, "because I realised that I wanted to be with you, that I wouldn't care what people thought of me anymore , as long as I had you..."
"I'm bad for you Caroline..." He tried to move away
"No... no you're not doing this" The vampire-es pulled him back again, "Rebekah dying will hurt, more than anything for a long time... I know that" She searched for him to meet her eyes, "But you're not giving up on something we haven't even tried yet, you've been a terrible person... and I can't deny that you used to make me want to hate you more than anyone else but... but klaus" Another deep breath was drawn in, "I tried and tried to find where you were, to take that dagger out of you... you have no idea... how much I've missed you, how much I've needed you... don't walk away now, before we've even began ..."
KLAUS' POV
The death of my sister still lingers in my mind but... but Caroline's words, they're taking over my whole body, the woman I've been madly in love with is telling me everything I've wanted to hear from her...
"So you're not leaving" She tells me, I've missed her sternness ...
Without even thinking, I close the space between us, by crashing my lips on to hers, I've missed this ...
"Everything will be okay" She whispered as our kiss was pulled apart, "I promise"
I believe her. Everything will be okay.

LEOS POV
"No! Leo, you're not doing this" Damon shook his head whilst pulling me to my feet, "you're not turning your humanity off"
"It's the only way..." I started but was cut off...
"I promise you Leo... it's not the only way" Stefan moved towards me, "you don't know this... but me... I'm a ripper, when I have a taste of human blood I can't stop myself but feed until my victims head has fell off ... and you know how I hid my guilt?" He looked me in my eyes "I turned it off... but by doing that, I lost everyone! Everything I had!"
"I don't have anything left..." I replied bluntly
"You do Leo..." Stefan held my shoulders , "you have us! Me , Damon... Elena, we're all here for you!"
I scoffed, "so where were you for all these years ,Stefan?"
"Leo... please..." My older brother looked down, "I'm sorry... but you know that we're passed this!"
Suddenly , Elena grabbed my arm and turned me to face her... "When Damon died... you know what I did?" She started and I shrugged "I erased all memories of him..."
Wait, Damon died... as a vampire? , "you didn't know Damon when he died" I reply after furrowing my brows , "it was 1864"
"No... two years ago, Damon died after saving Mystic Falls, both him and Bonnie , my best friend were trapped on the other side as it was falling apart..." Her voice started to shake... I could hear it , "And I erased my memory of him, I had Alaric compel me to forget everything" Her hands were now shaking , "When he came back... from the prison world, I was oblivious to the fact that I loved him, and it broke his heart, do you think Rebekah would want you to turn your humanity off?"
"She's right..." Damon said from behind me ... "I wish she never erased her memory of me...and Rebekah would feel the same about you turning off your humanity"
"But that's the thing..." I shake my head , "Damon came back to you... I'm never going to get Rebekah back"
"But it doesn't mean she won't be watching over you , Leo" Elena told him
I was falling apart. Piece by piece. My heart was aching. My body was shutting down...
"Don't do this Leo... please" Stefan looked at me with hope in his eyes.
"I'm sorry brother..." I closed my eyes and thought of the darkest place I could...
"NO!" All three of them screamed but I was too deep in my mind to hear them...
There it is , the darkness...
I opened my eyes, seeing Damon, Elena and Stefan in front of me, terror on their faces. And that's when I realised.
Nothing hurts anymore... the pain has stopped.
