I prefer brunettes (one-shot)

Nico was walking to the dining pavilion to meet up with Will Solace, who apparently had something important he needed to tell him.

He finally got there and looked around for Will, but when he spotted him he seemed preoccupied. Nico's blood boiled with anger because there was an extremely pretty red haired girl (no it's not Rachel) practically draped over Will. She was smiling flirtatiously and kept batting her eyelashes while twirling her hair. She seemed to be giggling at something Will had said and she playfully pushed her hand against his chest.

Nico was contemplating whether to go over and interupt them or just leave. He didn't know why he was angry in the first place it's not like Will would ever want someone like him. Heck who would, he was just that creepy, scary, orphaned son of Hades who most people thought of as a charity case. If he stayed and watched any longer Nico thought he would throw up so he angrily stomped off. However, due to his anger he failed to notice how uncomfortable Will actually was talking to the girl. He also didn't see Will finally push the girl off his lap when he noticed Nico angrily leaving the pavilion.

Will got up and immediately chased after Nico knowing he fucked up. He should have pushed the girl off sooner but no matter how many times he said he wasn't interested she just kept on flirting with him.

"Nico wait!" He yelled "Please Nico let me explain!"

Nico stopped and turned around to glare at Will while he waited for him to catch up. When Will finally caught up with him Nico spoke.

"You have nothing to explain Solace, please don't keep the girl waiting because of me." He said icily.

Nico's tone and the use of his last name hurt Will's heart so he hurried to explain what happened.

"Nico, it wasn't what it looked like I promise." Will said. "She just came up to me and started flirting with me."

"No matter how many times I told her I wasn't interested she wouldn't stop." Will explained. "Trust me I have zero interest in her."

Nico was happy to hear this but didn't want to get his hopes up just yet.

"Are you sure, she looked rather pretty?" Nico asked.

"I'm 100% sure." Will replied. "Besides, I prefer brunettes." He added with a wink at Nico.

Nico's face reddened and his cheeks felt warm.

"Your not so bad yourself blondie." Nico replied.

Will grinned as he took Nico's hand and they walked off together to enjoy the rest of the day.
