Chapter 18

"FUCK IT!" Yuki silently cries as he jumps off what felt like three stories.

He braces for impact and sure enough he hits the ground hard, rolling in the dirt. His lungs momentarily take the time to start working, lacking oxygen.

"I'm so glad I learned how to fall." he mumbled feeling dizzy and legs like jelly.

"Get up!" he hisses to himself, small scratches slightly burning in his arms, hands and face.

He hears a couple students getting through. He takes one last peek back before heading off and sees it's a few of his classmates.

"I'm alive. I'm alive." He repeats beginning to jog away.

How the fuck and I alive?!

"Hey, HEy! The first barrier's a piece of cake?"

NO!

"Then what about the second? If you fall, you're out!"

Yuki was one of the first few to get there. "Fall from this life per say." Yuki's eye twitched.

You can't even see the bottom!

"If you don't wanna fall, then crawl!"

"Oh you betcha." Yuki ginned.

"It's "THE FALL!"" Mic Yells.

Standing over one of the few ropes he takes a deep breath. Eyes closed.

Calm down. You can do this.

He snaps his eyes open and lets himself fall.

"YUKI-KUN!" Uraraka shouts just having watched her friend deliberately fall on his own accord.

However, Yuki was now climbing the rope horizontally.

"RIBBIT!" he overhears.

"I'll see you on the other side Tsuyu-chan!" Yuki laughs, dangling from the rope.

"They're fast!"

"Come, take a look, all you companies! Especially the big ones!" Yuki was already moving onto the third rope. He looked back and saw pink haired students with devices helping them cross the depths of the fall.

"Look at my super cute babies!"

"Well, shit." Yuki sighed. He was only another three ropes away from the other side.

"..." he took another look back and noticed the others were making progress.

"Tightrope time." he nodded. "If I fall I can at least say I tried." he told himself aligning his feet onto the rope.

"To slow and you'll fall. Too fast and you'll misstep. Let's do this."

"There's a lot of different people working hard for their chance, huh, Eraser Head?"

"What are you idiots stopping for?"

He sure sounds like he doesn't wanna be there...

"And now, the leader of the pack is easily getting through first!"

"TODOROKI! WHY DID YOU ICE THE FUCKING ROPES!" Yuki cried out upon reaching the second to last one. From what he could see the final rope was also covered in ice.

"AGH!!" he shouted into the sky.

When Yuki made it over the last rope he had to stop and stare up the damn stairs that were leading to the third obstacle course. "Nah. Robots? Ok. Fall of Doom? I guess. Staircase with over ten steps? Absolutely not." he huffed.
