Chapter Thirty-Four ~ She's Back

Start from the beginning

"Yeah, you did. Why do you remember that?" He asked.

"I have no idea. I remember standing in my room, and thinking about how I got there and what was going on, and then I felt my eyes burning, and I couldn't see clearly. I also remembered you yelling at me and telling me you didn't want to be with me anymore, and then I went to look for you because I didn't understand. And because I wanted you to hold me since I was in pain." Anna answered. Kristoff's eyes were now even wider than before, and his mind was going crazy.

So I was right when I said it was really her! Because there's no other way that she'd remember this if she wasn't.

"You know I never said that, right?" Kristoff asked, just to be sure.

Anna chuckled, "Of course. Well, I know it now." She said and winked, making Kristoff laugh too.

They talked for a little while, about the whole adventure Kristoff and the others went on to search for the ingredients and information, before Kristoff realized everyone was still waiting outside the room. Oops. He told Anna, and they walked out of the room, hand in hand.

Anna greeted everyone, and thanked them for their help. She offered Rapunzel, Eugene and Varian to stay for another week, so they could actually enjoy Arendelle, and they were delighted to do so. She agreed with Ryder and Honeymaren that they would also stay over for this night, and then return to the forest with Elsa the next day. Eliphas, who she met an hour after coming out of the room, since he was still in the library and Kristoff almost forgot about him, was also offered to stay over for the night, which he did, so they could arrange the reward he'd receive the next day.

Since Matthias had been minionized the whole time, and couldn't do anything about his actions, he was let off scot-free, as long as he'd apologize to everyone. Everything was pretty much back to normal again.

And so, everyone went to their chambers to get some rest, which they could finally get without any stress. Anna went with Elsa to her bedroom, to chat with her before she'd go back to Kristoff and sleep. Olaf begged Kristoff to let Sven stay with him for another night, since they had apparently grown to be even closer than before. Kristoff agreed, since Sven wanted it himself. Sven was pretty much recovered, the wound was almost gone. Olaf was a good caregiver, to everyone's surprise.

So, Kristoff said goodnight to them, and went back to his room, where he'd finally sleep with Anna again, hoping his nightmares would've stopped. But when he entered the room, Anna wasn't there yet. Kristoff didn't think anything of it, since he knew she was talking to Elsa, which could take hours. So he decided to just prepare himself for the night.

Anna walked down the stairs, up to the doors of the dungeons. The guards, that were guarding the door, were surprised to see her.

"Your majesty, we heard you're back. We're so happy that you are." One of them said, and Anna smiled.

"Thank you, I'm glad to be back too. May I talk to one of the prisoners?" She asked. The guards nodded.

"Of course." They said, and opened the doors for her. Anna walked down the dark hallway, seeking for one particular prisoner that deserved to rot in his cell. There he is. Anna thought as she spotted him, and took a deep breath. She walked over to him, and stood right in front of the cell.

"So, I heard you cursed me and killed three guards, and took my sister and cousin and friends hostage. And yet, you managed to fail." Anna started, looking Hans right in his eyes. He sat on the cold floor, and didn't seem to care about her presence. He looked at the wall.

"Well, I guess you've won again." He said, and Anna frowned.

"Wow, not even an insult. I'm impressed." She said, "No actually, I take that back, I'm about the opposite of impressed. What were you thinking?! How could you do this?! I can't believe you." Hans stood up, and walked over to the bars of his cell, facing Anna.

"I guess you should believe me, 'cause it all happened. And I'd do it all over again." He said, and tried to strike Anna's cheek, with his handcuffed hands through the bars, but Anna angrily grabbed his wrist, to stop him from doing so.

"Don't even think of doing so, because you're about to be hanged for your deeds. And don't even try to escape or pull something else, because I will find you, and end this myself." She said, with the most serious threatening voice, and turned around to walk away, leaving Hans in his cell.

Anna opened the door to her chamber, and found Kristoff sitting on their bed, waiting for her. She smiled and walked in.

"Hey, honey." She said, and Kristoff smiled back.

"Hi, honey, where were you?" He asked, just to make sure she was actually with Elsa and not just wandering around or anything.

"I eh, I was talking to Elsa, you know how that goes." She said and chuckled, making Kristoff chuckle too.

"Yeah, I know." Anna crawled on the bed and sat next to him, to give him a kiss on his cheek.

"I'm going to get ready for bed, okay? I'll be there in a minute." She said, and crawled off the bed, on her way to the bathroom. Kristoff nodded and already laid down under the warm covers, hoping not to have a nightmare tonight. He had had those every night that Anna was cursed, causing him to feel tired all the time. Since Anna was back now, he hoped it would be over.

When Anna returned from the bathroom, she laid down next to Kristoff under the covers, and gave him a kiss.

"I love you." She said, making Kristoff blush.

"I love you too." He said, and they both smiled. Anna turned around and turned the lights off. Before she could turn back to face Kristoff, he had already put his arm around her, holding her close to him. She smiled, and held his hand. They fell asleep in each other's embrace.
