Chapter Five

The New Kids.

Everything was back to normal. We were back in class about a week later (thanks to my accelerated healing) and everything was going well. When there were about 5 new kids (3 guys and 2 girls) came to the school and Sookie was a bit curious because well she always is about new people. So, after their first week she asked everyone in our little group of 10 to come with her to talk to them (make them welcome you could say).

So on Friday we went over to wear they sat in the corner closest to the Shape-Sifters dorm. They were all talking in hushed voices when we walked over to them as usual Sookie, Luna, Sky and me walked in our little diamond shape that we always walked in. Their heads snapped up as soon as they heard us heading towards them they looked slightly intimidated by all of us. So the others hung back as Sookie, Luna, Sky and I walked up to them. Sookie said "Hi, I'm Sookie, I'm going to be the Alfa of the wolf pack when we graduate and these are Wyne-Dixie, my soon to be Beta, Luna, she is usually very quiet but when you piss her of you will be wishing you were dead and this is Sky, she is basically our peacekeeper." She pointed to each of us in turn and we nodded. They looked very scared then the tallest boy stood up and said "So, when we graduate we are going to have girls as our Alfa and Beta?!" Then he and the other 2 boys laughed. That made Sookie very annoyed and I had to hold her back and tell her "If you're going to be their Alfa make their lives hell then, let's just get through high school first." At Sookie's angered movement Quinn stepped forward and Sky said to him "We got this under control, Quinn, just back off." Then Luna stepped forward so that her face was only inches from the guys face and said "Are you going to be so rude that you don't introduce yourself, or are we going to have to make you?" As she said that Sookie and I growled. Then the Guy said "I'm Wendell and these are Winfred, Warren, Rory and Rosaria. Can I ask you why you came over here it can't be just to make our acquaintance?" I rolled my eyes and said "Actually Sookie wanted to make you feel welcome. Us four now what it's like to be outsiders." All 5 of them snorted almost in time then the one named Rory (I think said) "Really because it doesn't look like you are outsiders looks like your friends with nearly one of each kind of Supernatural creatures at this school the only 2 you don't have are Fairies and Trackers" A hiss of disgust escaped my lips when she said the last word. They could see that and the other girl said "Is there something wrong with Fairies and Trackers?" She almost sounded sinister if it wasn't for all the sarcasm. "There is nothing wrong with Fairies. Just Trackers both Luna and Dixie have had bad experiences with them," Sookie said. She looked at us and we nodded and Sookie continued "Luna went out with a tracker, and he started to become her life and Dixie went and talked to her about if and Luna got upset and the tracker she went out with, Riley, realised this and found Dixie when she was by herself walking in the woods and he beat her up he leapt on her before she could react the his friend came and kicked her in the spine paralysing her from the waist down. So Dixie was in the hospital for a while and Luna came to see her with Riley and that was when Luna found out what he had done and she dumped him." Then Hunter said grinning, "You forgot the part where I yelled at him and beat him up with Quinn." The 5 new kids looked at me then to Luna in astonishment. We just shrugged. Then Winfred (I think) said "So you guys had some adventure, huh?" We all laughed and I said "We have had more than one life threatening experience this Year, I have had 2 and Abby had 1 and I saved her vamp butt." I winked at Abby and she snuggled into Hayden. Then Wendell asked "How can you be around 2 other supernatural creatures all the time?" Sookie, Sky, Luna and me looked at each other and Sky said "They are our friends and have been sines....what? The third grade?" I nodded. The new kids looked at us in astonishment and then the curfew bell sounded and we all said goodbye to them and headed back to our friends I took Hunters hand and Sookie took Quinn's. We walked back to the dorms and we parted in the middle and told each other have a good night and that we would see each other in the morning and to meet each other here tomorrow.
