Chapter Three

Great, The Party.

It was Saturday morning and the others were ecstatic as they headed to the school dining hall to set everything up. Of course, they made me tag along so that I could help put the last finishing touches to the room. When I stepped into the room it was all white and black with only a few splotches of color around the room and it was so amazing it made me stop and gape at it all, until Luna walked into me from behind and told me what to do and where to put things. It was already obvious who was in charge and it all, of course it was Sookie as always she was in charge. I suppose it's good for her to get in some practice as she is going to be the next Alfa and when we graduate.

It was about 8pm on the Saturday night and we were all hanging out at the dining hall watching people come in a gape at the room whilst the music was being started and as soon as that was done the music started to blare loudly and we all started dancing. At about 10pm Sookie, Quinn, Sky, Luna, Abby, Annabelle, Auby, Hunter, Eric and I went out to the large field to sit under the stars and talk together. About 30 minutes later we saw something running towards us. Sookie, Sky, Luna and I were to our feet in seconds. Then we saw who it was and let out a sigh of relief it was only Sookie's cousin Lewis. He was saying something but we couldn't make it out until he came into our hearing range. He was yelling "There is a large mob coming to kill you all RUN!!!!" Then Sookie snapped into Alfa mode and told the others "Run back to the party and tell the teachers there is a mob of humans enhancing on the school and that we need the wolf pack here NOW!!! Go!!!" At that moment they all ran for the building behind us as we spread out a bit so that we could as change into wolves without hurting one another. Sookie was first, then it was me close me behind then Luna right after me with in a second then Sky only a second after her. We stood there as giant wolves waiting for the oncoming danger that could hurt everything and everyone we loved and care about. We waited for 10 minutes before the adults got to our position and we were all in a long line that reached from one end of the field to the other, there were maybe 32 of us maybe more I couldn't tell. About 10 minutes after that we saw the humans come over the small hill at the very edge of the field near the edge of the campus of the school. We all stood there wondering if all of us were going to survive all our parents looked at us nervously as if they thought if any of us weren't coming back it would be us 4.

That was when the war between humans and wolves started, we towered over the humans but they had guns and axes on their side of course the 4 of us knew what to expect with the guns as I had been shot only a week ago from today. So we were able to dodge all the bullets aimed at us. As we hit the first line of humans the adults told us that all we had to do was try and push them out unless they got hold of one of us then we had permission to hit them if they did. But we could not kill them unless they got hold of one of the other supernatural creatures and tried to kill them. So we started to drive them out, since we had basically ripped all of their weapons from them. When one of them got past one of the eldest wolves and was running toward the buildings were all of the people we were trying to protect were waiting till it was safe. I saw this and told Luna and Sookie who were either side of me to hold my place till I got back. They nodded to me and I ran after the human he had already reached the building when I was half way there and he was in side and there was a little bit of screaming and when I got to the door the human had a knife to Abby's throat. That made me growl with anger the man looked at me and smiled. That made me even more angry so I walked over to them Abby looked like she was crying but I couldn't see that all I could see was a man holding a Knife to a person I am supposed to protects throat. So that was when I kept walking towards him and I changed back into my human form (yr, I know what was I thinking being in a room full of people naked but I was only 3 steps away from them so I changed), once I was changed back he looked at me was shock on his face and he said "Your just a girl". That really annoyed me I walked up to him I was only inches from his face and said "Most of those people out there are girls is there something wrong with fighting a girl or will it just hurt your pride if you lose?" He scowled at me and I smiled. With a flash I had broken is hand and he dropped the knife and let go of Abby and she was scrambling away. She reached one of the many guys who had a crush on her and leaned her head on his chest and he put his arms around her. The man stood there and I did the only thing I could think of I picked him up and ran him out of the building and back to where the others were herding the humans out of the school, grounds and they were almost there and as I drew closer all the men in the human mob looked at me as if they had never seen a naked person before I found my place in the line chucked the guy into the mob of people and stepped back a bit so I could change back into a wolf. One of the men yelled "That's the one Peter shot last week why aren't you dead, werewolf?!" I just yelled back with a smile on my face "Oh I'm not a werewolf" Some of the adults and my 3 of my best friends gave a Wolf laugh. I changed into a wolf and went to take my place in the line. The humans looked really terrified and were trying to run away from us now.

By the time we had got all of the humans were out it was about midnight and we were all really tiered so I was me, Sookie, Sky and Luna's job to go tell everyone (who were all still in the dining hall) that it was all sorted out and that there were no casualties. As we walked into the dining hall (we had already headed back to our dorms as wolves to get some clothes to wear) everyone fell silent and after we told them the news everyone started cheering and clapping. Our friends came onto the platform we were standing on and hugged us but Abby was the last to come up and hug us she lingered on hugging me and said thank you so many times in my ear that I never want to hear it again. Then I went to stand by hunter we just stood there staring at each other for a long time and Sookie and Quinn did the same. I hadn't realized that Luna had disappeared once I realized I reluctantly looked away from him to ask the others were Luna had gone. They just pointed to the dance floor where I saw her talking to the boy she had a crush on and his name is Riley Lowworth. "OMG she is actually going to ask him out." We all just watched them talk we were all grinning like idiots. Riley looked up at us then he said something to Luna and she looked up and we just looked around like we weren't watching them. Then she grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the platform we were standing on. Hunter tightened his arms around my waist and it looked like Quinn did the same to Sookie. Me and Sookie looked at each other and shrugged. Luna came over to us and said "Everyone, this is Riley" and I murmured "Oh, we already know" Luna scowled at me and carried on saying "Riley this is Sookie and her boyfriend Quinn," she pointed to them and they waved, "This is Wyne-Dixie and her boyfriend Hunter but we all call her Dixie," she pointed to us and we waved to, "Auby and her boyfriend Eric," she pointed to them and they waved, "Abby and her new boyfriend Hayden," she pointed to them and they waved, " and this is Annabelle and Sky." she said last pointing to them. Then Riley said "It's really nice to meet you all," he looked really uncomfortable so he said to Luna "Do you wanna go and meet my friends?" she nodded in reply and waved to us as they moved away. Hunter's arms relaxed around my waist and it looked like Quinn's arm relaxed around Sookie too. Again Sookie and I looked at each other, I plucked up the courage to ask them "Why did you tighten your arms around us when Riley came over?" they looked at each other then Quinn nodded and Hunter said "Because he freaks us out a bit and he's really good at getting people to do as he says." Me and Sookie looked at each other and said at the same time "Is that all?" then we laughed and the guys looked at us astonished.
