I can't believe my mom , she would let my dad trample on her again and again that's why I hate him, he's the reason my mom waa depressed for months and is still recovering , how dare he now come back into our lives, as my blood boils I punch the wall with my fist so much that it bleeds , "denzel!!!" I hear my mum distantly calling me begging me not to do something foolish.

Monica: denzel , you want to kill me abi , I won't let it happen , denzel!!! Come out jor

Denzel: I want to be alone

Monica:( chuckles) you've watched too many movies , you think this isn't hard for me too, see ,I swear to the God who made me if you don't come out in the count of three I'll call people to break this door and I'll beat you mercilessly

Denzel:...

Monica:1,

Denzel: ....

Monica: two

Denzel :...

Monica: three

Denzel:( opens door)

Monica:(slaps him) are we mates that you'll walk out on me and still lock your door eh , you know what your phone must be on my desk this night

Denzel: but mummy

Monica: don't mummy me , leave my sight now!!!

Denzel:( exits)

Tori: let's go to my mom's ward

Adam: okay if you want to

Jasmine: where are you guys going?

Tori: my mom's ward

Jasmine: kk let's go

Before I enter aunty j gives me a reassuring squeeze and Adam nods , I enter her ward there was a nurse checking her and scriblling some notes while the monitor was going zig zag monitoring her oxygen

The nurse leaves giving us privacy , I see my mom so weak in a tiny bed that squeaks when you sit  and a chair beside it after my observation which was distracting me from crying a method I now learnt .

I look at my mom , sobbing , mom please don't leave me you and INI are my only hope , don't make me and ini an orphan please fight it , Adam said we'll all look back at this day and laugh when its over but I don't think I'll be able to laugh.

After some minutes I decide to leave but the beeping sound of the monitor starts beeping louder and that's when I heard my mom's voice "don't leave me"
And then in two minutes the nurses run in yelling code red , alarming the doctors . I see aunty j they called her to take me away , while I keep yelling, leave me alone!!! My mom needs me!!! She's calling me and then the beeping sounds become faint till it stops completely but I was dragged away ,

Tori: aunty j my mom needs me , she's calling my name!!!

jasmine: I know my darling I know ( hugging her tightly)

Adam: tori !!! Everything is going to be alright

jasmine : Adam hold her don't let her go let me see what's going on

Adam: OK ( holds tori)

Jasmine:(exits)

Tori: Adam please my mom needs me , she called me!!!

Jasmine: .....(sobs)

Adam: mom what's wrong?

Jasmine: no no no this can't be happening ( sobs)

Adam: what's wrong

Jasmine: Helen is dead

Tori: its a lie ( exits)

Jasmine: tori!!!

Tori: where's my mom?!!!

Nurse:(startled ) ( opens cloth covering her)

Tori: its a lie , mummy nah why are you lying you always said its not good  oya stand up so you can take me to school ( sobs) mummy why aren't you standing up, oh am not wearing my uniform , I'll wear it soon just get up please nah mummy

Jasmine: tori!! Snap out of. It , eh

Tori: ( cries)

Adam: everything will be OK

Tori: how?? You've told me since , tori everything will be OK but no!! Nothing's fine OK !!! , am not okay!!! , everything is not fine!!!

After some hours

Jasmine : tori do you want to spend the night at our place

Tori: no I'll be fine at my house my mom is probably worried , because I didn't tell her about the sleepover with Adam

Adam:to..

Jasmine: tori the car door is open we'll catch up with you

Tori:(exits)

Jasmine: let's leave her for now , this is her way of coping , maybe tomorrow I'll take her to my therapist and you young man have school tomorrow

Adam: can I skip?!

Jasmine: no way!! School's important I left you skip today because its Monday and of course tori's  situation .

Adam:OK but are you really going to drive her home

Jasmine: no I'll tell her that her mom texted me that she could extend the sleepover

Adam: kk but mummy

Jasmine: what?

Adam: don't ever die because I'll die with you .

Jasmine:of course not and if I do don't you dare do that or I'll slap you from heaven

Adam: OK now you're scaring me

Jasmine: enter the car jor.
