18 CANDLES

Thank you so much everyone for your moving, uplifting and heartwarming messages for our dear debutante. And now moving on, we have now come to the part of our program that the guys have been waiting for. A chance to hold the hand of our lovely debutante for a short dance.

Okay so, a little trivia, the 18 roses symbolize _____ in her 18 years and the gentlemen symbolizes as her protectors, knight in shining armor, guardian angel or what other terms you may call. These gentlemen will protect _________ from any harm or sadness. Each gentleman, after giving ________ a rose will dance while we read their message to Heart Joyce. Let us start with:

18 ROSES

There you go ladies and gentlemen! And to complete the 18 roses, the last dance is of course reserved for the very special man in __________ life. Her motivator, supporter, armor, and treasure. With him, she knows that she will be safe, she will be happy. Ladies and gentlemen let us all give a round of applause to the father, Mr. ________ together with our lovely debutante for their Father and Daughter Dance!

Thank you so much __________. The father and daughter dance is probably one of the most loved traditions in any Filipino debut celebration. This signifies the daughter's first step to womanhood and the father's acceptance of this period in his daughter's life. As the debutante receives her 18 roses let it be a reminder that like the rose life is beautiful, however, there are thorns that signify that life isn't that easy for there are problems to be faced. It is up to her how she will handle these hurdles with the support of her family and friends.

Indeed you are now a lady ________ you are in the legal age so 18 toasts will be offered to congratulate the debutante for reaching this milestone in her life. Every toast means a warm wish for a promising future ahead. It's a way of appreciating and honoring her humble presence in the lives of those people who in any way touched her heart and have been significant part of her life.

So from the 18 candles to the 18 roses and 18 toasts, of course, wishes and greetings from the debutante's family and friends will be very important because as what Willa Cather said, "Where there is great love, there are always wishes."

Because birthdays are always new beginnings, new endeavors with new set of goals, sending birthday messages and wishes is a tradition especially in our country, where we give high value to family ties and relationship.

So tonight ladies and gentlemen we will be approaching ________ family and friends to give their wishes and greetings as she reached the age of maturity.

Wow what wonderful wishes we have heard. Evidently our dear debutante was growing with a very lovely and supportive people.

At this point, may we request everybody to please stand and let us all sing our traditional Happy Birthday Song to our lovely debutante.

Tonight's celebration tells us that the best demonstration of gratitude in response to a wonderful experience like this one can be contained in an overwhelming thank you. And if there's one person here tonight who is more than grateful to see all of you that would be our beloved celebrant's father, Mr. _______. Let us all give him a round applause for his acknowledgement.
