!real life!

gia had been doing her absolute best to avoid dream at all costs. why? who knows.

it wasn't that she was mad about dream knowing her real name or knowing what she looked like, it was just that no one did.

she had been alone for the past 3 years, and she didn't have any friends before joining the smp. sure, she's done collabs with other creators where they've seen her face, but none of those friendships really stuck like the ones on the smp did. when she started to realize, about a year into starting all of this, that the creators weren't real friends, she just stopped all together.

so avoiding dream was something she felt the need to do, she didn't know why, but she felt it.

everyone she's ever met who knew her as gia or have seen her face, always left.

and she couldn't lose dream.

just as these thoughts ran through head, her phone began vibrating in the back of her pocket with twitter notifications from the man himself,

dream
hey!! seven!!

gia!! hellllllloooo

g?

can i call you g??

okay

hey, i don't know if you're
purposefully avoiding me,
but i just want you to know
that if me seeing you/
knowing your name is
uncomfortable to you, i can
totally like forget it
ever happened lol..

the girl sighed as she typed a nervous answer in response,

call me? ***-***-****

the boy contemplated his next move, before deciding "fuck it." and clicked facetime,

answer | decline

the words lit up her screen under an unknowing number, assuming it was dream, she quickly ran in front of her mirror, checking her hair, she looked like a mess, that's because she was a mess. she never had to show her face literally ever, and now that it was something she was going to have to do, she felt quiet insecure.

she slowly clicked answer, and the call opened up to a very stressed, yet beautiful, looking dream.

"hey, dream."

the boy coughed and she let out a very slight giggle, but turning serious again after, "hey, clay."

"hi."

"i'm not mad at you, and while i have been avoiding you, i think it's important for you to understand why," the girl stopped as he hummed in response, "i have always been super cautious about who i put myself around. i've been cheated on, kicked out, bullied, all of it. i've dealt with losing friends in any way you could think of. and i don't want to lose you. every single time i've showed people the real me, they leave. they always leave." she spoke, sighing
