**REALLY QUICK FOR THOSE WHO ARE CONFUSED: Kita is 26, Y/n and Akaashi are 25. Y/n and Kita got married after SHE graduated (so she was 18 and he was 19) they separated 2 years later (Kita was 21 and Y/n was 20) when she got an opportunity in Tokyo

"Keiji, please open the door." After the..occurrence yesterday, Akaashi left the store in a hurry. Y/n wanted to go after him so bad, but her dad and Kita advised her to wait at least a day, and that's exactly what she did. Oh, speaking of Kita, he signed the divorce papers...and Y/n didn't know what to feel about it. On one hand she was happy since there was nothing holding her from marrying Akaashi. But on the other hand...this past week has helped Y/n realize something, she's missed Hyogo more than she gave herself credit for, she missed him more than she gave herself credit for. Sighing to herself she knocked one more time, "Keiji, I'm sorry, but I have so much I need to tell you, plea-" She was cut off by the door opening, and angry and hurt looking Akaashi facing her. "Yeah, you do." He crossed his arms as he looked down at her. Y/n gulped under his gaze as she took a deep breath, nodding. "Can I please come in, it's a lot..." He sighed as he stepped to the side, the two made their way over to the couch in the nice hotel room, well Y/n did, Akaashi opted to take the adjacent arm chair. He sat down, arms still firmly crossed over his chest, as he gave her a look that said 'explain'. She took a deep breath. "Okay...so the guy you met yesterday was Kita Shinsuke...and he's...well he's my husband. OR HE WAS! He signed the divorce papers yesterday, so I guess he's not anymore. Um, I came down here to get him to sign them. I've been trying to get him to sign them for five years now." Akaashi's eyes slightly widened, "Five years?" Y/n nodded. "We've been married for 7. He actually proposed the day I graduated, so we got married when I was 18 and he was 19. Things were going great, but, 2 years later I had gotten an amazing job offer in Tokyo, but Shinsuke couldn't go since his work is here, and his grandmother. We had a fight...and it was bad...and I left. Then, 2 years after that, I met you, and I fell in love with you. You were so, so perfect, and kind and I loved that about you...I love everything about you Keiji." Y/n smiled as tears welled up in her eyes. "...Why didn't you tell me?" Y/n let out a laugh as she looked up, wiping her eyes "I didn't want you to know me as the mess I really am...and I...was really scared you wouldn't want to be with me anymore. I am so, so sorry Keiji. Please know you were never second best, or a rebound or anything. You meant the world to me, you still do!" Akaashi's gaze softened as he took a hold of her hand, realizing the engagement ring was back on her finger. He let out a sigh before shaking his head "...You really are a mess you know that?" He looked up to her with a small smile and she let out a laugh. "Yeah...I'm kind of aware." Y/n looked down in her lap. "Listen....I get if you don't want to see me anymore...and if you don't. It's...it's okay. It wasn't fair of me to do that to you, even if I never wanted to hurt you, it wasn't right. You deserve better than me Keiji..." Akaashi shook his head, holding her hands even tighter. "I'm not happy about you not telling me...but. You had some pretty significant reasons not to. And if you'll still have me" Y/n met his Gunmetal blue gaze,

"I'd like to still marry you." Y/n's eyes widened as she looked at him in shock, tears quickly welling up in not-so-dry eyes. She jumped into his arms and held him tightly. "...Are you sure..?" Akaashi smiled and nodded his head. "More so than when I asked you the first time, actually." The two sat there in silence for awhile before parting, Y/n successfully drying her eyes as she sat back on the couch. "Hey Keiji...would you mind if we had the wedding here...?" Akaashi shook his head, "Not at all." Y/n smiled, "And I know it's sudden but....could we get married...like...soon?" Akaashi's expression showed one of surprise, before it morphed into one of delight, he nodded again. That afternoon was spent planning for the wedding, choosing color schemes, and groomsmen/bridesmaids (not gonna lie, the first time I tried to write 'groomsmen' I forgot what they were call and called them 'bridesmen'. Man, I'm nEvEr getting married rip.) and they plan to meet up with a caterer in two days to settle the food. Akaashi walked Y/n down to her car (because he is ~perfection~) and bid her goodbye. Smiling as he watched his soon-to-be-wife drive back to her house. After she had safely made it home and explained the situation to her parents (her mom got started right away on invites) she took a shower, changed into pj's and got into her bed. She spent some time going through texts, face timed Hitoka for about 2 hours, and read. At about 11:29 she decided she had better get to bed (since her dress fitting was the next day) but as she tried to drift off to sleep she found herself feeling....guilty?...Sick? She didn't know what she was feeling, but what ever it was, was terrible. She loved Akaashi, obviously since she was marrying him in five days! But...there was still that small piece of her mind, still that sliver of her heart that loved and will always love Kita...and she didn't know what to do. 'No. This is right...this is the right thing to do. He signed the papers, I signed them, we're over...we're done...but me and Keiji are just beginning...yeah...this is right...THIS is how it's meant to be.' And with that, she tried drifting off to sleep, with a racing mind and heavy heart her rapid thoughts were silenced with one single phrase 'He signed them, it's over...' with that she fell asleep, no longer overthinking, just mildly hurting.
