Dragneels - Morning Encounters

Sorry if it focuses on Niki for this chapter, I'm trying 😓 I'm not entirely used to doing character x character, so it's a new thing for me....

Our story starts in the Dragneel household, with Zeref Dragneel making breakfast for his younger siblings.

Yep, you read that right.

Siblings.

"Kids! Breakfast!" The ravenette yelled as he carefully placed plates of scrambled eggs, toast, and yoghurt on the marble kitchen table. He placed a cup of coffee besides his sibling's plate, along with two Panadol for his sister.

"Coming!" Natsu Dragneel replied as he raced down the oak stairs, sweats hanging off his hips and revealing his underwear. Tattoos littered his body, intricate designs drawn up by his sister, Niki Dragneel. The Dragneel name was tattooed on his back in cursive, set in salmon pink to match his hair. His main tattoos were etched in a dark red and travelled all over his body.

"Niki?" Zeref called, wandering around the table and going to the end of the stairs. Looking up, he saw his sister. Her pink hair was thrown up in a messy bun, and she wore a black hoodie with the words 'i don't know who's gonna kiss you when I leave' sewn on in white and some of Natsu's boxers. She had eye bags the size of miniature crescent moons, a sign she hadn't slept properly.

"Here.." she yawned, sounding dead as she hummed and made her way downstairs, kissing her twenty-nine year old brother's cheek and going to the kitchen counter. She hugged Natsu briefly before setting herself down and taking her medicine. Zeref chuckled as a tattoo and multiple piercings peeped from her hoodie and ears.

"Well.. I have work. Natsu, I trust you can have our princess at school on time today? I want her there by 8:20, please. School is being a bitch about her attendance," Zeref stated as he sat down at the head of the table. With a grunt, Natsu looked up, piercing onyx eyes staring deep into his brother's.

"Of course. We'll take the bike since you'll be taking the car?" Natsu replied, cleaning off his plate and getting up, shuffling into the kitchen. He threw his plastic plate into the sink and poured himself some more coffee. He glanced at the time, seeing it was 6:45. He smiled to himself.

"Of course. Now, I must be off," the eldest Dragneel said as he stood, brushing dirt off of skin tight black jeans, a dark grey long sleeve turtleneck tucked in. He had on dark blue and white Converse, ready for his job at the Magnolia Adoption Agency, MAA for short. He walked around to his sister, kissed her forehead and left.

  "Bye," the salmon haired siblings called out as the door closed with a click.

  "Alrighty. It's 6:50, you wanna go shower while I clean up?" Natsu questioned, knowing his sister would need a shower to keep awake. She nodded, passed him her plate and made her way up spiral stairs, where she came from earlier. Once Niki disappeared, Natsu set to work cleaning up the kitchen. Throwing some dishwashing liquid into the sink, he hand-washed plates and cups as the pan Zeref used to make eggs soaked in a different compartment of the sink.

  "Why did I fall for you, I gave it all to you," Natsu sang as he worked, emptying the sink and putting things in the dishwasher to make sure everything was clean. He grabbed a cloth, squirted some cleaning liquid on it and proceeded to wipe down the white marble of the table.

  "Big Brother.. I'm done," Niki yawned, walking downstairs while drying her hair.

  She never did take long showers, Natsu thought, chuckling. He glanced at what his sister was wearing.
