"Are you ok?" Jack walked over to Davey.

"He's using you."

"Yeah. I'm fine." Davey smiled. It was the fakest thing ever but it was there.

"No you're not. What's up?" He sat next to Davey.

"He doesn't even like you."

"It's nothing really." He didn't need to burden Jack with his problems.

Jack sighed. "Dave, ya have to tell me things. I can help. That's what friends are for."

"He hates being around you. Can't you see that?"

"But this problem is really nothing."

"Disgusting."

"Are you sure? I called you like 6 times."

"Worthless."

"I didn't seem to notice." Davey's voice cracked again.

"Why does he even waste his time?"

Jack placed a hand on his shoulder. "Dave?"

"He hates you."

Davey broke down. All composure he had left slipped away. Katherines words hurt. He hates them and they got to him. He couldn't think about the fact Jack maybe hated him. So he just sobbed.

Jack was quick to hug Davey tightly. "Davey what happened? I haven't heard from you in weeks and I find ya like this?"

Davey shook his head. He could barely breathe because of the tears let alone talk.

"Breathe Dave."

The nickname, God the nickname. It only made Davey cry harder. He didn't know why exactly, but it did. Jack held him closer just waiting for Davey to calm down, which he eventually did but afterwards he was just.....there. He looked dead, he felt dead.

"What's wrong Davey?"

Davey pulled away from the hug, not being able to say anything. He wasn't thinking right, he didn't feel right. Could be he hadn't eaten good in days, or that he was overworking himself, or the insecurities, or Katherine, the list went on.

"Please talk to me so I can help." But Jack had never helped. He could have seen the signs, gotten the hint, listened to Crutchie. He could have dumped Katherine and everything would be ok.

"Katherine."
"What do you mean Kath-" The door opened and the girl in question walked in.

"Go away Kath I'm busy." Jack didn't look at her. Davey didn't want to ruin the relationship and couldn't help but feel it was all his fault Jack was mad at her.

"Doing what?" She looked at Davey. His first instinct was to press himself against the wall and hug his stomach to the point it hurt. "He's just a big baby." She rolled her eyes. "What are you even crying about anyway? Failed a test or something."

The tears started to well up again. How one person could be so flat out rude was beyond Davey. He bit his lip and closed his eyes. Wanting to just disappear, turn invisible forever. No one would have to pay attention to him then. Jack looked like he was hit with a ton of bricks as Davey opened his eyes again.

"You did this. Didn't you."
"I don't know what you're talking about." Katherine gave Jack a look.

Jack finally looked at her, standing up to get in her face. "It's over."

"Excuse me?"
"Did I stutter? I'm sick of you doing this shit to me and my friends."

Katherine was at a loss for words. Finally. As soon as Davey heard the door slam he relaxed, just going limp. A huge weight was lifted and all he needed now was a hug, coffee and Star Wars. And for the voice to go away, just because Katherine's gone doesn't mean her words are.

Jack immediately went back and hugged Davey. Davey hugged back tightly. He couldn't help but feel something towards Jack. But he swore it off. It wasn't going to happen.

"Davey.." Jack spoke up after a long, very comfortable silence.

Davey hummed, taking deep, shaky breaths still. "When was the last time you focused on yourself." More silence. Davey didn't want to answer that question. He didn't need Jack babying him or making a big deal about it. "Let's take care of you."

Davey shook his head, pulling away from the hug. "I don't need you fussing around for me."

Jack sighed, "David you cant just not pay attention to yourself."

Davey nodded "I've done it before I can do it again." He had said too much.

"What do you mean you've done it before?" Jack raised an eyebrow.

Silence.

"Dave-"

"Don't worry about it, Jackie, I'm fine." Davey insisted.

"Jackie?" Jack seemed, flustered? But Davey wasn't right in the head so he doubted that was it.

"You can call me Dave, I can call you Jackie." He stated, quite simply.

Jack laughed, "C'mon. We're getting coffee and McDonalds." Jack stood up, turning back to Davey "And I'm paying."

A/N I DID IT! HE CALLED HIM JACKIE! YOURE WELCOME!
