The days after Dumbledore's death had been carnage. Carina had noted numerous parents had marched to the school and had taken their kids out of school. Carina's favourite incident had been Seamus Finnegan's mum coming to get him, he had point blank refused to leave which had resulted in them having a screaming match, Carina had been very entertained even though she couldn't properly understand the accents.

Madam Maxine the giant lady from the Triwizard tournament had arrived for the funeral and Carina couldn't help but feel an overwhelming sense of guilt when she thought about attending this funeral. She had never attended one before — not that she remembered.

She hadn't gone to Cedric's as that was family only and Siri didn't have one because there was no body. After the Mulciber Murder, Carina had told Orion everything about what had happened — how she had wanted to hurt him, how she felt satisfied when she realised he was dead. She had told Orion she would understand if he wanted to not be her friend but Orion had promised her forever and forever is what she would have with him.

Carina was not ready to leave Hogwarts for the summer. It truly hadn't been the end to Orion's final year like they had hoped or wanted. They were meant to be cherishing every moment together but they couldn't not like this.

Blaise had told Carina to stay at Orion's over the holidays as Eleonora had been devastated at the news of Robert Mulciber and was extremely angry at Carina's betrayal. Carina didn't want to anger her more so she promised Blaise that they would meet in a muggle park during the first week of the holidays.

Carina had finished packing her case and took it up to Orion's room so they could leave on the last train journey together for the last time. At this moment, Carina wasn't sure whether she was more upset about the funeral or that in September she would have to sit with Blaise on the train again. Not that she minded but she did truly love sitting with Orion and sometimes Michael on there, they were funny.

The trio — Carina, Orion and Michael — walked down to the funeral together with the rest of their house. A first year Ravenclaw girl who had been crying was holding tightly onto Orion's hand as he couldn't bare to see the girl cry so decided to try and comfort her as best as he could. Carina thought Orion was wasted bring a younger brother and she couldn't wait for him to be an uncle, he would be the best.

They arrived at the funeral grounds and Carina ran straight to Fred and wrapped her arms around him tightly. They hadn't spoken properly since the events that had happened a few days ago and she had missed him dearly, sometimes being in Fred Weasley's arm made her feel so safe. He was looking incredibly smart in his black dragon skin suit and so was George. She couldn't help but feel proud of them in that moment.
