Dedicated to George
T ruly loyal, trainable golden retriever, took us for daily walks
E specially lovable and gentle with young children
S lept inside always and often with the children
S cared off intruders, including coyotes, cougars and bears
T eased by squirrels, cats and crows
E normous appetite for dog and people food
D ug her way out and escaped from an enclosed yard, destroyed at least one set of living
room furniture when she was a puppy
F earless of porcupines and water, regardless of how deep or cold
O bedient to my husband whom she adored but not to me
R emembered fondly by most neighbors, especially our family
D ashed for the front door and her leash at the mention of the word "walk,"
darling dog, date of death : November, 2012

A/N Tess was sadly missed by my husband and me when she passed. She was our
favorite of all our friends' pets through the years.
