Avengers, The moment I saw you

Ch. 10 "Argument"

                                                        Tony POV 

First thing this morning I called Jordan's doctor, 

"Yes, I would like to talk to the doctor regarding my sister Dakota Stark," I said 

"Please hold," The lady said 

"This is Doctor Sanches," He said 

"Hi, Doctor Sanches this Is Tony Stark calling regarding my sister Dakota," I said 

"Ah, yes, how can I help you Mr, Stark?" He asked 

"I was wondering about the results of her tests?" I asked 

"You mean she didn't tell you?" He said 

"Tell me what?" I asked 

He sighed, 

"Dakota has been diagnosed with an incurable very rare heart condition, her heart is having trouble keeping up with her body, by the time she is 21..." He trailed off, 

"What?" I asked 

"I'm sorry Mr. Stark, at the rate her heart is going by the time she is 21 her heart will give out, I'm sorry," He said 

My eyes widen, 

"Thank you Doctor," I said hanging up, 

Is this why she's been acting the way she's been, locking herself in her room, not sleeping, locking herself in her lab for days,going out and getting wasted with Wanda, crying at my not even remotely yelling at her? I thought 

"Tony what is it?" Pepper said 

"Jordan.." I said 

With that I left I had to confront her with this, why did she keep this from me, I thought we agreed no secrets between us, I thought 

                                          Dakota POV 

I was currently in my lab tutoring Peter, so far he's doing pretty well, 

"No, No you carry this over remember," I said smiling at him tiredly 

"Oh right," He said chuckling 

I pinched my eyes with my fingers, 

"You okay?" He asked 

"Yeah, just tired," I said 

He nodded, 

He looked at the clock, 

"Oh Man aunt May is going to have a fit!" He said packing his stuff away, 

"See you tomorrow, Kota!" He yelled 

"Alright," I mumbled 

You see Peter has started calling me Kota which I don't mind it's different, 

I started cleaning up the paper, pencils, books,

Lately I've been extremely tired but I don't show it, I just keep going, because I need to find a solution and fast, I thought, 

I pick up the device I made, the device that is supposed to bring you back to life, 

I start to tweek it a bit,as I was staring down at it, my eyes started to lose focus, I press two fingers against my temple and start rubbing it, 

I hear someone clear their throat, I see Tony, 

"Tony, aren't you supposed to be at the avenger meeting?" I asked 

"This is more important," He said sitting down at one of the chairs near me,

"What is?" I asked finally looking up, 

"I talked to your doctor today," He said 

"Oh," I said pretending not to be fazed, 

"He told me everything," He said 

"And," I said looking down at the device, 

"Seriously! Jordan this is your life! why the hell didn't you tell me!?" He asked 

"Would it have made a difference? there is no cure for it, you have bigger and far more important things to worry about," I said 

"Dam it Jordan!" Tony said slamming his fist on the table I looked at him, 

"You are far more important that anything else don't you get it!" He yelled 

"Tony there is nothing we can do about it okay," I said 

"No! That is not acceptable!" Tony yelled 

"I'll find something," He said 

"You can't alright! I looked in every book every source everything possible! okay! there is no cure! nothing I- we can do! so just drop it!" I said 

"So that's it your just going to give up!?" He asked 

I was standing in front of him looking up at him glaring at him, 

"Um, guys," I heard Steve 

"Could you two stop the screaming match," Clint said 

"I'm out of here," I said walking past them, 

I felt the tears falling down my face as I walked out of the building, I left, soon I arrived at my place where I always like to think, I was sitting on top of a building looking out at the harbor 

"Rough night?" I heard 

I see Spider man aka Peter, 

I smirked, 

"You could say that," I said
