Dance Lessons

"I don't dance."

A/N: So this is my first Wattpad story and it's about AppleDash (Equestria Girls) and so I hope you enjoy:)

It was an average day for the high school girls; Twilight was reading whilst sitting on the statue that leads to a portal to a world of pony versions of themselves, Pinkie Pie was blowing up balloons and then letting them deflate just to laugh at the fart noise that erupted from it, Flutter Shy was letting her animals out of the bag while sitting with Twilight on the statue, Rarity was doing Sunset Shimmers' nails on the statue, Rainbow Dash was playing soccer on the front yard of the school, while AppleJack was helping some of the guys at the front of the school with the heavy lifting with tables and large pieces of wood. 

All was going normally, that was until the intercom of the school went off (as it was the end of the day), and Principal Celestia made an announcement.

"Everyone have an amazing day, and just a reminder that the end of the year dance is only two months away. So buy your tickets before they sell out. Thank you."

None of the girls really paid attention to the announcement until Rarity stood up and screamed "WHAT?!??" in excitement.

This startled all the girls which made Pinkie Pie let a ballon go early, Flutter Shy hid her animals, Sunset fell backwards on her palms, Twilight dropped her book, Rainbow kicked the soccer ball without aiming properly which bounced off and was about to hit AJ in the back of the head. While witnessing that part, Rainbow Dash began to do her mischievous laugh as she was awaiting the ball to hit the farmer, but the girl caught her by surprise. AppleJack turned around in reaction to the scream (after she finished helping out with the last thing) and caught the soccer ball. At this, Rainbow Dash's mouth dropped as she saw the farmer just go casually about dodging the ball.

"What in the hay was that for?!" The farmer said as she approached the group. Rarity turned pink in the cheeks and cleared her throat before saying "I may have overreacted just a teensy bit hehe..." and giggled awkwardly.

"You think? I don't get why you get so excited for these things. It's just a stupid dance." The rainbow haired girl said. "'JUST A STUPID DANCE'?!?!???" The purple haired girl exclaimed.

"Dances are a chance to dress fabulously, while still making a bold statement about who you are as a person!" Rarity defended. Rainbow Dash giggled at this.

"No! I get it! I mean, sure you get to dress up, but you also get to decorate, blow up balloons, eat yummy, delicious food, and you get to drink yummy fruit punch!" Pinkie Pie said bouncing around with excitement.

"I could give ya a good punch if ya like" Rainbow Dash said with a smirk on her face. "Dash, come on! Oh and nice try." AppleJack stated as she handed the ball back to Rainbow Dash.

"But to be honest, ahm with Rainbow Dash on this one. Ah don't understand why you girls get so worked up about some silly dance." AJ stated placing her hands on her hips. "See? It's not just me! Thank you AJ!" Rainbow shouted as the farm girl giggled.

"Dances are fun because everything that Rarity and Pinkie already stated, but also because it's rare that we get to let loose and get out of school work. Which even I can appreciate every now and then." Twilight said with a smile. "Yeah and we get to hangout with people and expand our friendships!" Stated the Sunset coloured hair girl pointed out.

"They're right! And you get to listen to music and dance!" Finished the shy girl.

Both AppleJack and Rainbow Dash looked at one another with wide eyes and raised eyebrows. They looked back at the girls. Rainbow laughed while she spun her soccer ball on her index finger. "Yeah there's just one problem with that" she chuckled.
