What do I look like to the almighty?
I worship your soul
Not only your body
An aroma transudes from your core
And I slowly return my gaze to the floor
The heat that you embody has struck against my cheek
Perceiving me so transparently
It seems I've lost the ability to speak
But with eyes so glacial
And a figure seemingly intrusive
You conduct as though you're palatial
When it's apparent I'm seclusive
How am I to be vulnerable
When you've profoundly exposed my sin
Many words are unutterable
As I've so willingly let you in
Every wall, every barrier in your palace
Is to be broken as soon as the liquid drains from your chalice
And down your chin
Please don't speak so sweetly
There's poison in the honey that your voice is secreting
You were the enemy I was supposed to be defeating
But here you have left me, shivering in a state of stupor
So tattered and defeated, my heart starts to pour
Leaving a stain so gruesome as it shatters to the floor
I see you've become cross as you indignantly leave your impact
You reach for the door with the knife I've left in your back
I beg and plead for your forgiveness
Hoping my apologies will instill warmth
But you turn your head so solemnly, for you know what you cannot provide
Though I'm only at arm's reach
You leave me bloodied and alone
To die.
