Song of the chapter
There Goes My Life by Kenny Chesney
JoeHoly shit this can't be happening!
Sweet Jesus, please tell me it's that damn beer playing tricks on my mind.
It has to be.
I glanced down at the basket again and the little baby girl in it, sleeping peacefully.
Gotta admit...it's a precious sight.
I sighed as I picked the basket up and brought it inside the apartment.
I still don't know how this happened.
Well....actually I do😎 but I have no freaking idea who the mother is.
I guess my damn playboy ways have finally caught up with me.
Anyway.....before I could get totally down on myself......the baby began to whine.
Oh shit.
What to do? What to do?
They say a mother's instinct knows exactly what is wrong with a child.
Well....I have no mother's instinct because I am not a mother.
The ladies call me daddy.😎
But anyway....that probably explains why I am in this predicament.
I reached down to pick the baby up out of the basket.
As I did,she began to squall.
Oh Jesus....what did I do?
"Awww don't cry, cutie." I said, trying to soothe her and my aching head at the same time.
The squalling continued.
Okay,so it's clear I need some assistance here.
Who TF am I gonna call?
Not Ghostbusters I do know that much.
I sighed and picked up the phone to call
Joe Mixon,my teammate.
