6. The Royal Palace

Start from the beginning

My mother chuckled. "He's seeing the King in a long time you know"

Yup. My father is the King's close friend. Back then, because my father was the Duke's only son and him the Crown Prince, they saw each other a lot so they quickly became close friends. Then one day my dad met mom and after they were engaged; my mom introduced her friend to the King and then they got engaged...

So basically, the Queen's my mom's friend. And I can tell my mom's happy too to meet her friend... just isn't making it so obvious as my dad.

But.

These pancakes are the best. No lie.

A few hours later

.

"No!"

"What about these?"

"Definitely not!"

"Krystal you have to wear something there" argued Sara

"And I will but that something will not be.... that" I pointed to the pile of extravagant, unhealthily bright frocks that all had one thing in common.

Lack of good design.

I walked over to the closet to check if I had at least one decent dress. I searched and searched... to the end of the world- I mean the closet, then suddenly-

It was a deep purple so it matched with my eyes, and that frock had the right amount of frills in the right places it also had a sapphire sewed in the middle of the collar. But the strange thing is that I don't remember it being in my closet-

"I'll wear this"

"Wow. Now that is the first thing I liked that came out of that closet" exclaimed Sara looking at the purple dress like it was cleansing her eyes after those... hideous pieces of cloth she saw.

I mean- in a way it was.

"I know right"

After I had a long, warm bath that I never got in my last life, I put on that dress and looked over to the makeup table...

...and ran

Cut that, I mean- tried

Sara picked me up and put me infront of the table before I could get out of the room.

"Sara I tell you, this is going to make me look absolutely horrible" I protested

I've seen few women in carriages and I wish I could unsee what I saw; Dark pink circles on their cheeks, too pale foundation, their whole eyelids looking like a 5-year-old coloured it-
