"Imagine not having a license. Couldn't be me!" Right before the last class of online school was dismissed, Flash decided to flex on everyone with his brand-new driver's license. Most of the sophomores at Midtown High School were 16, but not all of them could drive, Peter, Ned, and MJ included. Of course, Flash being Flash, decided this was absolutely 100% necessary to point out.

He didn't know there was a very good reason for that.

"Hey! Dipshit!" MJ yelled out, as Mr. Harrington sighed and shook his head. Just as he was about to end the meeting, MJ stuck up her middle finger and left.

"Have a good day kids," Mr. Harrington said in a voice that said he was very much done. Ned and Peter waved and signed off Zoom.

Within seconds, the three got on their group FaceTime. "MJ! You shouldn't have done that!" Peter reprimanded, while she shrugged and then flipped him off, grinning all the way.

"Oh it's fine, it's not like Mr. Harrington cares. Plus, the little ass--" Ned cleared his throat. "--Butthole deserved it. Happy?!"

"Yes?" Happy Hogan walked into Peter's room, peering at his phone screen. He had moved in with May at the beginning of quarantine, much to May's delight, and less so to Peter. Happy had a habit of barging in randomly, during Zoom class, FaceTime calls with his friends, and Among Us Discords. It was...interesting to say the least.

"No Happy, MJ was just saying the word. Like, you know, happy," Peter said, stumbling through the words. Ned giggled.

"Thanks for checking in, Mr. Hogan sir. Good to see you!" Ned said with a smile. He always knew how to politely get rid of adults, unlike Peter who was polite but not firm, or MJ who was firm but definitely not polite.

"Good to see you kids too. We'll make sure to drive by soon!" Happy left with a cheerful wave. Peter's face fell as he remembered Flash's rude comment.

"Thinking about Flash? Don't bother! Who cares what that dork has to say," Ned laughed, shaking his head.

"Yeah I know that, thank you. But it's not about what Flash thinks, it's about me. I just--you know why May doesn't really want me driving." His Uncle Ben, Aunt May's first love, had died in a car crash. "But I--I think I want to learn how to drive now. I think I'm ready," Peter said with a smile.

"Well..." Ned was nervous for his friend, more nervous for May's reaction.

"Hey, listen P. If you want to do driver's ed, then do driver's ed! It's your choice, okay? Ned and I'll support you either way," MJ said with a smile, and Ned nodded along. Peter looked at his two best friends, thankful for their support.

"Awe, you guys are the best!" They grinned and nodded, winking. "Okay, I have an idea. I'll talk to you guys later!" They hung up.

"Hey May?" Peter called as he walked into the kitchen, and his aunt and Happy looked up. "Can you call Mr. Stark?"

--

"So," Tony said for the millionth time. "You sure you're up for this??" They were sitting in one of his fancy cars, but also an older one deemed 'expendable' by Mr. Stark. Which, in turn, said a lot about Tony's faith in Peter's driving skills.

"Yes I'm sure! I've driven a car before, remember? When I had to stop Liz's dad?" He shuddered at the memory though, and his hands did shake at the wheel.
