You threw the body bag onto the floor as you closed the freezer door behind you. It had been a long day and your muscles were aching, you just wanted to sit down and chow down on the delicious meal in front of you.

A sigh escaped your lips as you reluctantly began cleaning up around the place. You went into the back room with a wet rag and cleaned what you could, wiping down the blood on the counters. There was a slight mix of human and animal blood, but you couldn't tell the difference other than which one tasted better. To you, they were one and the same.

You were thinking of doing a deep clean, but you were sore and just wanted to go home. So eventually you took off your apron and threw the rag off into the sink. Picking up the body bag, you began closing up, locking the door behind you as you walked out,

Just as you were heading over to your car you heard something, the banging of metal and struggling cries ringing in your ears. Eyes darting across the empty parking lot, you struggled to find the source of the sounds.

You quickly stuffed the body bag you were carrying into your trunk and looked around a little more —taking a big whiff of the air around you— but you couldn't smell any blood. Though you did smell a human.

Maybe you could snag another meal.

The thought made you excited. You eagerly wandered around the parking lot, your nose guiding you.

Eventually you came across one of the few cars that littered the lot, breathing slow and heavy. You took a deep breath and knocked on the trunk, asking the obligatory-

     " Is someone in there?"

Whoever was trapped in there let out a sigh of relief, letting out a strangled, " Y-Yes! Please let us out!"

So there's more than one in there, huh?

A bit of drool dribbled down your chin, tongue flicking across your lips. It was hard to keep cool when you were just so hungry.

" Alright, I'll get you out of there, don't worry." You reassured them, looking at the car — trying to see the easiest way to open the trunk.

You were lucky enough to know the ins and outs of a car, specifically the trunk. This wasn't the first time you've come across a situation like this and you were pretty sure it wouldn't be the last, it was the first time you've come across a bunch of snatched up children however. Usually it was just young women.

     Oh well, a meal's a meal.

Making sure you spoke in a calm voice, you raised your voice a little to make sure they could hear you, " I'm gonna need some help on your part though, can you do that?"

One of them let out a small "mhm!", voice calmer.

" Alright, can you feel around the top of the trunk? There should be a latch there."

After a few seconds of feeling around the kid answered, " Yup, found it!"

" Okay good, now pull it, it should let you out."

Only silence followed after that, you expected the trunk to pop open or something but no.

     " Is everything okay there?"
