"It's cold."

The town that the Potters lived in was normally very peaceful in the mornings. Birds tweeted from their spots on branches of large trees and the leaves of said trees rustled in the cold December wind. Snowflakes stationing themselves on every ledge and surface in sight, piling up to create thick inches of freezing of snow, which in the end will melt away like it was never there. The nippy air would be warm again and the wind would calm when spring came around, ready to transition into Autumn.

But Spring wasn't here yet.

The birds still tweeted, but it couldn't really be heard over the loud celebrations of the four boys upstairs.

Elladora had a pillow clamped over the sides of her head as they spoke loudly. It had only had to be about 6 o'clock in the morning, why in the world were they already up and awake? She pressed the pillow down harder over her ears when they started muttering about gifts of some sort.

"Go back to sleep." She groaned into the pillow and all laughter ceased. It was unusually quiet and it scared her. Skeptical, she slowly showed her face, only to see all four boys looking down at her with wide grins. "It's too early."

"It's never too early on Christmas." Sirius objected as they all sat around the lilac bed sheets, allowing her to have some space as she flexed her toes and stretched her arms so she wouldn't be a cracking mess.

"Now that you're awake, we can go downstairs." James smiled and she furrowed her eyebrows slightly. Go downstairs? Surely, it can't be dinner time already. It's still bright outside so how could they be allowed down yet.

"Downstairs? But it's not dinner time." She told them, sitting up and crossing her legs, her body scooted back a bit so they were all sat in a circle instead of Elladora being sat in the middle.

The boys exchanged glances and stood up all at once. Sirius grinned and grasped one of her arms whilst Remus grabbed the other one and they both hoisted her off of the ground. "Euphemia's already up." Remus smiled and walked over to the door, the girls arm still in hand.

"Let's go!" Sirius cheered and rushed past them, followed by James and Peter as they stomped down the stairs.

Elladora was still very hesitant at going down at such an early time. Remus felt her freeze and stopped walking himself, returning to the doorway, where she was stood, staring down at the stairs  whilst he leaned against the doorway.

"What's up?"

"I just don't think we should be heading down so early." She shrugged slightly. "I've always only been allowed to go down at a certain time so I'm a bit cautious."
