Chapter 14

As Barb heard the voice her body quivered in fear. She turned around to see Carol standing there. It scared her. Barb took a step back as her back was soon against the wall

"Uhhh b-b-blue-"

Carol covered Barbs mouth

"It's so good to see you again after so long." Carol said

Barb moved Carol's hand

"It's only been a day." Barb told her

"A day far too long away from my little princess." Carol said

Carols thumb rubbed Barbs cheek

Barb took something from behind her back and shot it towards Carol. Carol grabbed the weapon in Barbs hand. It was a knife. Carol picked up Barb by her neck. She stabbed the knife into Barb's hand

Poppy was outside scrapbooking till she heard Barb scream in pain. She put the scrapbook in her hair. Poppy quickly ran inside and saw Barb with a knife in her hand as Carol was in front of her

"You'll be mine forever. Even if I have to hurt you for it." Carol said licking her lips

Poppy saw a spare knife on the floor. She picked it up and stabbed Carol in the back. Carol roared in pain and fell on the floor. Poppy took the knife out and put inside her hair. Poppy quickly helped Barb out and put a bandage over her hand. They quickly went to the door

"You two.....won't get away." Carol said

Carol stood up and quickly fell to the floor. Carol finally noticed Poppy and a surprised expression on her fave

"You! I THOUGHT I KILLED YOU!!" Carol yelled

"Looks like you should've paid more attention Carol. Now you should be finished off. You won't hurt Barb anymore." Poppy said

Carol smiled

"You can't keep her from me. We were meant to be together! We'll always be friends forever won't we Barb?" Carol asked with sinister smile

Barb looked at her and rubbed her arm. Poppy looked at them both

"Barb? What is she talking about?" Poppy asked

"Ummm...."

We were just kids...

A young Barb was running around Volcano Rock City with a young Carol. The two saw a few old Rock Trolls in the lava. The two shared a menacing smirk and did a cannonball into the lava

"AHHHHHH!!!" They ran out

"HAHAHA YEAH!!!" Barb smiled, doing the rock hand pose

Carol looked at Barb with a smile on her face. They got out of the lava and shook off. They saw the old people coming back, and immediately ran off

"GET BACK HERE YOU LITTLE BRATS!!" They yelled

Barb and Carol didn't listen and continued to run

"Oh man! Did you see the looks on their faces!! They were like "AHHHHHHH!!!!" Barb said, imitating them

Carol gave a light laugh

"It was so hilarious! They didn't expect it!" Carol said

Barb smiled. She then tripped on a rock and fell face first. Carol stopped running and went back to her. Barb sat up and smiled.

"Carol." Barb spoke, she rolled underneath Carol

"You're my very best friend." Barb said

"And you're mine to Barb." Carol said

"And we'll always be friends forever. Won't we?" Barb asked

Barb put her hands on Carols shoulders

"Yeah, forever." Carol said with a smile

Barb and her looked at each other with a smile

"Hey I got an idea! Let's go swimming!" Barb said

Carol got off of her

"Give me a head start and I can beat ya!" Carol said

They got up and ran off to lava pool and jumped right in. They looked at each other and laughed

Barb looked and Carol and sighed. She didn't know what to do now. She couldn't just kill her best friend like that. Even if she was a controlling jerk now

"I-I can't do it." Barb said

"Barb. You have to." Poppy said

Barb looked at Carol again fighting herself to just do it already. She only saw the young Carol. When they were kids. Barb only saw Carol as a kid in her vision. Carol was sitting there innocently.

"We met it seems.Such a short time ago." A voice in Barbs head said

Barb looked at Carol

"You looked at me. Needing me so"

Barb saw herself as a kid approached the young Carol

"Yet from your sadness. Our happiness grew."

"And I found out I needed you too! I remember how we used to play."

Barb saw them as kids messing with old people and crashing rock concerts. Barb smiled and then it went away

"I recall those rainy days. The fire's glow that kept us warm."

"And now I find we're both alone. Goodbye may seem forever."

A young Barb and Carol looked at themselves. The young Carol looked Barb and the young Barb looked Carol

"Farewell is like the end. But in my heart's a memory..."

"And there you'll always be.."

Barb looked at Carol and ran their younger selves as they disappeared. Barb pinned Carol against the wall and stabbed her multiple times. She released every feeling that Carol had given her. Barb was finally getting free, and she couldn't wait. Barb continued to stab her

Poppy grabbed Barb to hold her back

"Barb that's enough!" Poppy said

"NO IT'S NOT!! SHE NEVER STOPPED FOR ME!! SO I WON'T EITHER!!" Barb shouted

Barb stabbed her at least five more time to make sure she was actually dead and threw the knife across the room. Barb looked at her old dead friend and fell to the ground and felt tears

Poppy helped Barb up as they began to leave. They closed the door and walked away. Barb turned around as they were walking and saw the young Carol and Barb playing outside

"Goodbye may seem forever. Farewell is like the end. But in my heart's a memory. And there you'll always be.."

Poppy and Barb headed back to Pop Village to get some rest. Barb needed the sleep. Poppy sighed as they continued to walk away
