Chapter 9

Meanwhile Riff was peacefully sitting at a table till he heard a loud bang. He jumped. It scared him. Riff felt his heart pound. Riff decided to go check it out. There he saw Carol on the floor

"Whoa, whoa. Carol! What happened?" Riff asked her

"THAT UNGRATEFUL LITTLE- SHE LITERALLY DITCHED ME!!!" Carol yelled

"Who?!" Riff asked again

"BARB!!!" Carol answered

"What did she do?" Riff asked

"SHE LEFT IN THE MIDDLE OF THAT FOREST ALL ALONE!!" Carol said

Carol clenched her fists

"When I get my hands on her I'm gonna-"

Riff grabbed her hands

"Ok! Let's not get too hasty. I'm sure Barb will come on her own!" Riff said with a smile

Carol glared at him. Riff stopped smiling

"...or something."

"Yeah whatever. I'm sure she'll be walking through that door any minute." Carol said with sarcasm

The door opened

"WHAT THE WHAT?!!"

It was Sid

"Uhhh Riff. I like uhh got you these and whatever. So like you can have them I guess dude." Sid said

It was a new pair of drumsticks

"Thanks! Oh have you seen Barb?" Riff asked

"Not since she left." Sid answered

Carol pinned Sid against a wall

"WHERE IS SHE?!!" Carol asked

"I-I don't man." Sid said

Carol then suddenly let him go and looked at the ground. She knew exactly where Barb was. Carol walked away

"Where are you going?" Riff asked

"To get Barb!" Carol said

"You know where she is?" Riff asked

"Positive." Carol answered

Both Riff and Sid watched Carol walk away and looked at each other worried

Branch, Trollex, and Hickory were playing a board game. Branch rolled the die

"HAH A SIX!!" Branch smiled

"Awww man.." Trollex's head flopped on the table

Hickory patted his back

Just then the three heard Barb come up. They all looked at each other. Branch smiled

"You seem to be feeling better." Branch said

"Yeah? I guess our little chat kind of got through to me." Barb said

"I'm glad." Branch said

"What were you talking about?" Trollex asked

"Oh uhh-"

"Trollex! It ain't nice to but into others business." Hickory said

"Oh. Sorry." Trollex said

"No it's fine Trollex. Can I?" Branch asked

"I don't care." Barb said

Branch nodded. He looked at Trollex and Hickory

"Well Barb has been going through a lot. With Poppy getting killed and her stuff with Carol. I guess she's lost." Branch said

"What stuff with Carol?" Hickory

"Umm well she puts her hands on her. She treats Barb like a toy." Branch explained

He looked at Barb

"That's what you said right?" Branch asked

Barb slightly nodded

"Oh man. That sucks." Trollex said

"Yeah. I can't imagine that." Hickory said

"But hey! You're here with us now! Nothing bad will happen to you ever again!" Trollex said with a smile

Barb looked at him and smiled

Branch felt something in his hair. He took Gary out from his hair. Branch read the label that was showing on Gary. Branch then turned on the cameras and saw Carol right outside above them

"Uhhh guys?" Branch called

They looked at him. Branch showed the three the footage of Carol on Gary. Trollex and Hickory gasped. Barb was panicking. Hickory put his arm around her for comfort

"YOU SAID THIS PLACE WAS SECURE!!" Barb yelled

"I-I could've sworn! After Poppy I-I made sure to barricade everything!" Branch said

"WELL YOU DIDN'T DO A GOOD JOB!!" Barb yelled

They saw the mat fall on the floor just in front of them. There they saw sleeping gas fall on the ground. The four then passed out

Carol came inside the bunker. There she saw Barb on the floor and picked her up. She looked back at Branch, Hickory, and Trollex

Carol decided to not waste her time on them. She just decided to leave with Barb and leave it at that..
