" wait.. wheres f/n?" Killua then asked as they realized they forgot about their petite female friend

the four got startled as they looked at their female friend

she  said as she was seen floating in mid air with a dead pig floating beside her

" hey!, for the last time stop scaring us!" Leorio retorted as he again put his hand on his heart

"f/n!, you're here " gon cheered as he went towards kallumi

the other two just nodded as they now started walking to the phase 2 site

"oh my they caught a lot" Menchi said

on instinct the applicants started cooking their pigs

Kallumi then started preparing as she gently cuts the pig in half

" now eat the pig and send me to the next phase" the applicant said as he showed his roasted pig in front of the examiners...

"okay, its evaluation time. taste testing"

the applicant confidently smirk

"tastes good!"

Buhara gave the applicant a pass as he munched on the pig, earning a more confident smirk from the applicants, whilst Menchi said the opposite, as he gave the man an 'x'

"it's overcooked, the tough texture ruins the flavor of the meat"

"what?, you haven't even tried it!" the applicant retorted as he clenched two of his fist

"it's plain as day." Menchi said as he pointed her ' x' mark at him

"damn it"

as the applicant ahead of Kallumi presented his dish, just like the others he got a pass from Buhara and an 'x' from Menchi

"it's not throughly cooked, and the the bottom is roasted" Menchi said as she gave the applicant a stern look

as Kallumi presented her dish, Buhara munch on it as he gave Kallumi a pass earning a nod from Kallumi, as for Menchi, Menchi gave Kallumi a look...

"hmmm it's throughly cooked and the presentation is nice, and its evenly sliced, hmm..mighta s well try it" Menchi said as she took a fork and took a piece of the dish

it was silent, a pin-dropped silence to be in fact....no one dared to speak

'well, this is awkward'

"its amazing!" Menchi gleefully said as she hugged Kallumi tightly

"the food is exquisite, the herbs and spices are combined perfectly!"Menchi complimented as she  gave Kallumi a pass earning glares from the applicants....Kallumi smiled

as Kallumi went down the stairway, Menchi quickly went beck to her old self as she glared at the applicants

"that was so much food!, i'm stuffed" buhara exclaimed as he rubbed his tummy

"yeah, i'm stuffed too, therefore no one passes except for number 32" menchi said as she pointed at kallumi

"were finished here!"

many shocked noises were then heard...

'as expected, she lapsed back into her old bad habits' satotz thought as he tooked his walkie talkie and called beans...

"only one person passed?"

"are you serious?"

"does she really mean it?"

"the exam is over?"

"this isn't funny!"

In a fit of rage, one of the examinees, todo, destroys his kitchen set with his fist and refuses to accept his failure

"i won't accept it...i absolutely refuse to accept this!"

"in the end, you've still failed" Menchi mocked

"nonsense!, you asked for pork, so we risked our lives to-" 

"i said to prepare pork in a manner we both found delicious, none of you made anything remotely delicious except for number 32, you all did almost the same thing, there was no effort made"

"just as i thought some people actually tried, they only changed the appearance, no one attempted to emphasize the flavor, i'm positive that none of you took cooking seriously, except for number 32!"

"pork dishes are all the same" hanzo the said earning a glare from Menchi

"just say that once more" Menchi retorted as he grabbed Hanzo by his red bandana 

" any more crap from you, and i'll shove my arm up your ass and knock your teeth out!, don't you mess with me!"

'there's Menchi's bad habits agin...after all only a handful of chefs in the entire world can satisfy Menchi, its a miracle an applicant passed Menchi's satisfaction' Buhara thought as he looked at the ranting Menchi

as  Menchi stopped ranting as she sat on her sofa

"in other words, you people don't have the guts to try anything new"

"shut up!" Todo retorted as he pointed a finger at Menchi

" i'm not trying to be a cook or a gourmet hunter...i want to be a hunter!"

just then many applicants then joined him as they glared at Menchi

"yeah!, yeah!" the applicants yelled as they raised their fist in the air

"my gaol is to become a blacklist hunter, i refuse to let a mere gourmet hunter decide my fate!"

" too bad you got stuck with a mere gourmet hunter as an examiner, better luck next year?" Menchi mocked, making todo in a fit of rage

" dont mock me!" todo yelled as he charges at Menchi, as todo instantly regrets it, as he was then immobilized after taking a palm thrust by Buhara...

"Buhara, don't interfere"

" well, if i hadn't intervened you'd have killed him right?"'

" probably, let me clarify this" Menchi said as she slowly went down the staircase..

" we frequently venture in the dens, of ferocious beast, searching for ingredients" Menchi said as she took her knives out

" every hunter knows some form of martial art" Menchi elaborates while displaying her skills with her knives..

" you lack focus and the willingness to experiment.that alone disqualifies you from becoming hunters!"

as then a voice was heard...

" thats said, it would be excessive to fail every single applicant while one remains," someone from above said as the applicants looked from above...

an airship then was seen...
