charlie immediately nodded "yes sir"

"good. because mark was the head of plastic surgery. he taught me everything i know about plastic surgery. so, if one day you...i don't know...happen to have an accident and your face is damaged and i just happen to be there to fix this pretty face of yours. i'd hate to have you accidentally turn out like frankenstein"

jackson continued "now i don't suppose you can tell me where booboo is?"

♥︎

"hey" skylar smiled as she seen charlie standing outside of 'luke's house'

"h-hey" charlie chuckled nervously

skylar furrowed her brows before sighing "he said something didn't he?" she mutters

charlie immediately shook his head "n-no"

"i am so going to k—

charlie grabbed her wrist and tugged her into his arms "no, no it's okay sky. he's just looking out for you, which i completely understand" he said with a small grin

"did he say he was going to make you look like frankenstein?" skylar asked

charlie let out a nervous chuckle "n-no"

"wait. where's jackson?" she quickly questions as she notices he wasn't anywhere near by

"he asked me where he could find b—

"oh god, booboo" skylar rushed out before running to go find her uncle

a few minutes later, she found jackson and avery at crafty's. jackson was throwing his head back in laughter, before catching skylar's glance. he excused himself from booboo

"avery!" skylar mutters

"avery?" jackson lowly chuckles "you are so mark's daughter"

"what—

"don't worry i didn't do anything" he grinned softly as he wraps his hands around her shoulders, bringing her into his chest. "but he told me why you guys didn't work out" he said sadly as he pressed a kiss to her head

skylar sigh sadly "i ran him off"

jackson shook his head "no, you didn't. the best thing in this world is to have someone who never gives up on you, no matter how many days you find yourself in. the best thing is to have someone who never leaves. and a person who loves never leaves so easily. and a person who loves never leaves so easily. a person who loves fights till the last breath. that's how you 'do' love" jackson said as he continued before he sighs "booboo wasn't your someone. i hate to admit this, but, charlie is"

"avery's right" a very familiar voice came to her, making her smile and hug jackson a bit tighter

"it's a song about a girl named emily?" madison recited to jennifer and michael, who were playing luke's parents

"oh...i'm emily" jennifer says as she takes a step closer to madison

"then i think your son may have written this song for you" madison says as she look down at the paper that held the lyrics before she handed it to jennifer

seeing as skylar and jackson were behind the camera next to kenny. they heard when kenny told the producer to play unsaid emily

"first things first
we start the scene in reverse
all of the line rehearsed
disappeared from my mind
when things got loud
one of us running out
i should've turned around
but i had too much pride" charlie sung along with the song

they had charlie sing along to the whole song while being filmed, so it could help him get emotional. truth be told, it actually had everyone feeling emotional

"and the words i most regret are the
ones i never meant to leave
unsaid emily" charlie sung, the camera getting a up close shot of his face that held tears

"thank you" jennifer says as she holds back her sob

"um... you have no idea..." michael recites his hold back

madison nodded softly as she also had tears rolling down her cheeks "i write music in the same room that he did, and i can tell you it is a magical, happy place"

it was those line that finally caused skylar's tears to roll down her cheeks. jackson noticed and he immediately knew that she was not only thinking about luke's character, but of her father

both jennifer and michael chuckled softly "that's so nice to know" michael recites

"i know he was only 17 when he... but he loved doing the one thing he was born to do. not many people find that, but luke did. he was lucky"

the camera turned to charlie, tears rolled down his cheeks as he quickly wiped them away as he turns around slowly so the camera could capture the perfect shoot so the editors could edit the ghost effect

♥︎

kenny had told the crew that the rest of the shoots for unsaid emily was going to be shot tomorrow. they had moved back to 'julie's house'. skylar was with charlie outside the porch helping him rehearse

"i just had to leave. that was—

"you don't have to say anything" skylar read out loud from the script

"yeah, i do. uh" he took a few steps closer towards skylar "i didn't have many regrets in my life except for running out on my parents. especially my mom, so... thank you" he said sincerely as he locked eyes with skylar

she glanced down at the script before reading madison's lines "you helped me feel more connected to my mom, so... i wanted to do the same thing for you"

"that was perfect" he took a extra step closer. skylar had to hold back a smile. he extended out his hand for her to take, but seeing as they couldn't touch, she ran her fingers through his before turning the other side, charlie doing the same "this is an interesting little relationship you and i have" he said as the two glanced at each other, charlie holding a smirk as he was walking towards her, placing a hand on her chin, slowly leaning in

"very interesting" a voice called out

skylar quickly slapping charlie's hand away. the two turned around to see jackson coming up the steps with a sly smirk. charlie took a few steps back

"don't worry" jackson lowly chuckles at he took notice of his actions. he stood next to skylar "i like you charlie... you're a great guy, and i know you'll take care of my favorite niece" he said as he hung his hand around skylar's shoulder

"and something tells me that mark would agree with me and would have liked you as well" jackson said as skylar smiled as she leaned her head on him
