"I'm afraid, I may not be coming back."

The children eyes widened.

"What do you mean you may not be coming back?! You always come back bastard!" Lovino cried.

"Italy. All nations will fade one day. My time is coming soon. It won't be long before I fade away. My empire is falling already falling apart. With war, I won't be around much longer."

"Well, stop it! We can't lose you Grandpa Rome! Please don't go!" Feliciano cried.

"I'm sorry Feliciano, I'm afraid I can't stop it." Rome said sadly.

"No! Please stay grandpa!" Florence sobbed.

" I'm sorry, I have to leave soon. Acacius (Byzantine Empire) will look after you three."

Rome embraced the sobbing children for the last time.

As much as he hated it, it was true. He couldn't stop it.

The scene changed to a battlefield. There was fighting everywhere the nations looked. The field reeked of death and bloodshed.

All the nations had seen it before. As much as they hated it. It was a normal part of being a nation for so many of them.

Eventually, they could see Rome. He was fighting Germania, although it was clear he didn't want to fight his former friend.

"Germania, this has to end old friend!" Rome cried.

"Those days have passed Rome, we have to do this. It will only end by one of our deaths!" Germania responded, sadly.

"I know."

Eventually, the fight finally did end. With Germania's sword through Rome's torso.

"I'm sorry Ro- old friend." Germania said, looking down on Rome. His eyes had become a bit misty.

"I-It's okay G-Germania. Pl-Please just m-make sure Italy's s-safe for m-me." Rome smiled sadly, already weeping.

"I w-will." Germania stuttered, losing control of his tears.

"G-Gratias t-tibi." Rome smiled as his body fell to the ground.

The memory faded out. The rest of the nations quickly realized that Italy was silently sobbing.

"Oh Ita." Hungary said softly, walking over to help Sicily and San Marino soothe their crying siblings.

Seborga wasn't really sure what to do. He hadn't been around when Rome had faded.

His only family was Veneziano, Centro, Romano, Sicily, San Marino, and Sardinia. He had never met Rome of Byzantium.

"Are we ready to move on?" England asked softly.

Romano looks around at his siblings.
"Sì." he responds.

The next memory fades in.

Germania was sitting in a forest. There was a village nearby where he was staying for a couple weeks.

"Vati!" shouted a loud, but young sounding voice.

Germania turned around to see a young albino boy running towards him.

"Hallo Gilbert." Germania greeted.

Germany's eyes widened. He had never actually seen his father before, at least not as Germany. And now that he got a good look at him, he could see a clear resemblance between him and his father that his siblings had talked about before.
