With pain, and sometimes,
With madness at nightime
And on the tears you sprinkle some thyme
Look me dead in the eye, spitting on what could be a lifetime
Of happiness's paradigm
Just read between the lines

Haven't you got the breakthrough
You claimed you needed too?
What the hell have we come to,
What the hell did we have to get through?
Oh hell, what I'd do to undo
All the shit we managed to get used to
How many times we've been untrue

As we once sang, I'm finally facing my Waterloo
Come on, wake up, enjoy the view
Of me crying and trying to pull through
The mess of my emotional distress
I miss the old you, I must confess
I've been trying so hard to repress
These overwhelming waves of sadness
I'd even say, completely suppress

All of the reproaches, the excess
