"Here take this. It's just some meds to boost your immune system and help you out so you don't pass out again."

I handed it to him. I made sure the tablets were still in the box so he could see for himself and not assume that I'm trying to drug him.

He gave me a strange look and reluctantly took them.

"Thanks."

He handed the glass and remaining tablets back to me. I put them back and put the glass in the sink.

"What happened last night anyways?" he questioned.

"You collapsed with a high fever. I could not wake you up and I did not know where to take you so I let you spend the remainder of the night on my couch." I grabbed my bag digging through it to check that I had everything.

He stood up and walked over to me. He was a little wobbly on his feet. I could tell that he still was not feeling very well.

"Sorry about that but thank you. I'm actually visiting a friend who lives in a flat here."

I gave him a nod and grabbed my phone putting it my pocket.

"Well Mr Frye, you should return back to your friend, they are most likely worried. I don't mean to sound rude but I need to leave for work."

As soon as I finished that sentence my phone started ringing. Pulling it out of my pocket, I checked the caller ID. It was my boss.

"Sorry, I have to take this." I said as I answered the call.

"Yes Mr Jones?"

"Bella, I need you to stop by the tailors on the way in and pick up my new suit." He rudely hung up right after. No surprise.

I wanted to roll my eyes but I remembered who was standing before me.

"I thought you said your name was Andrea?" He had a playful glint in his eye.

Of course he had heard the conversation because he was standing so close to me.

"It is. My boss can just never remember it. Now I really need to get going and I kindly need to ask you to leave." I walked towards the door after grabbing my things and turned back to face him expectantly once I had opened it.

"So rude, just kicking your guest out like this." He dramatically complained as he grabbed his hoody and slid his shoes back on.

When he was about to walk past me and through the door, someone walked passed at that very second. He was an average height with decent looks and when he took note of us his eyes drastically widened.

"So this is why you weren't answering my calls, you were shagging my hot next door neighbour, you work fast man!" The guy exclaimed.

I was taken back by this statement and glanced back at Shane Frye who looked unbothered by this misunderstanding and just as I was about to clear it he spoke up.

"Relax Jodee. I know her." He shot his friend a strange look that I didn't miss.

His friend however seemed completely oblivious to it.

I wanted to correct Shane and say that he did not know me and it was if he read my thoughts because he sent me a sharp look shutting me up.

"Whatever you say dude, I'm just heading to the shops real quick. When I'm back you got to tell me all about it." He sent a wink, "Oh an the key is where it usually is." He was obviously referring to his flat. After that he walked off.

I gave Shane a dubious look as he stepped out of my apartment and turned to lock my door. When I turned at around, he was still there his hands in his pocket.

"Give me your phone." He pulled out a hand and held it out expectantly.

"What for?" I couldn't help but ask.

"I need to make a phone call."

I unlocked it and handed it to him, not realising that he had his own phone with him until he pulled it out his pocket. It was on silent but it's screen flashed with my number.

Before I could do anything, he saved his own number on my phone and saved mine on his.

"Why-" I was cut off.

"Don't give it out." He said as he handed back my phone. "I will call you later. I know you need to get to work right now."

I was about to say something but thought better off it. He was the stubborn type and would not let me get away without some form of a way to contact me.

It was obvious that he wanted answers that he believed I had. It was written all over his face.

"Who says that I will answer?" I couldn't help but innocently tease. He sent me a glare.

"You better." he voiced out.

I gave him a small smile and turned to leave waving him a goodbye over my shoulder.
