She was a burst of colour to his black and white life.

She sang and danced all night, pulling him close in her arms.

They would gaze up at the stars, knowing their love was sealed in them.

She loved to paint. Swirling colours, leaving a kaleidoscope everywhere she went.

She was a free spirit, ready to float away at any moment.

And he grounded her. Making sure that when she floated, there was always someone waiting to catch her.

She was young, full of life. He was young, full of sorrow.

They made perfect sense.

But their time was cut short.

She grew ill, and every day her colours would fade.

She couldn't sing, she couldn't dance, she couldn't paint.

All they could do was stare at the stars.

Then, one day, her colours faded away forever.

And his life was black and white once more.

No more kaleidoscope, no more love.

He could see her in the stars.

She was a burst of colour. And he would never forget what it was like to see her rainbow.

Got a burst of motivation to make people cry. This will probably also be posted in my poetry book.
