Immigrants

On the topic of race, I want to look at immigration from a human standpoint. Racism is about race, birtherism is different, but I can't help but notice when white Europeans immigrate, they are treated fairly, and when brown immigrants from third world countries arrive, they are discriminated against. They are treated as second class citizens. President Trump has had anti-immigrant rhetoric and for that, I say this: He is racist. You don't have to be a genius to put it together. He wants to kick people out, he wants to build a wall, to spread fear and division. He once said while reaching out to Hispanic voters that we know law enforcement better than anyone, and we know drugs better than anyone, so we understand why he puts this rule in place. Two problems with that. Number 1, by saying that we are familiar with drugs and crime, you are implying that all immigrants have had those experiences, which is racist. Number 2, yeah, we understand law enforcement because your system makes us so afraid, we feel compelled to just follow the rules. He doesn't know what it feels like to walk through an airport, scared, even though you are

documented. He doesn't know what it feels like to get a TSA agent who threatens and insults you. He doesn't know what it feels like to be afraid of the law enforcement because you don't want to get deported. He is spreading fear. Law enforcement fears immigrants, and immigrants fear law enforcement. Are those random security checks random? Or are you just grabbing the guys in turbans and women in hijabs?
With that out of the way, it's common knowledge that immigration laws are recent. If white people didn't respect black people who were born in the United States, they did not respect people who were born elsewhere. During the Great Depression, Mexican people who were born in the US were blamed for taking jobs, repatriated by President Herbert Hoover, and forcibly deported. This was defended by saying these were not "real Americans".
If you think about it, we don't welcome immigrants as much as we welcome immigrant labor. They can clean your house, and cook for you, and raise your children, and pick your apples, but at the end of the day, they don't deserve to live in the same country as you. Isn't a

person who works minimum wage and so hard for this country deserve to live in the country. Why are veterans being deported? If you are willing to die for a country that isn't even yours, then you deserve to live there. If you spend time raising other people's children instead of raising your children, you should be allowed to live in America. We don't want immigrants, but we want them to do our work for us, so they work so hard for us, and then we call ICE on them. Isn't that horrible? We need to treat immigrants as humans, not things that work for us.
America was built by people fleeing wars, persecution violence, and looking for a better life. America is the country of immigrants. We were all immigrants at some point. Unless you are Native American, we are all immigrants. People say that to come to this country you need to share American values, and immigrants don't share those values. Americans put America first. Immigrants put America First. Immigrants work for America. They are brave people in search of freedom. No one is braver than an immigrant. Someone willing to risk everything and start from scratch for the chance at a better life is a true hero. Aren't those American values? It sounds to me like immigrants share American values, and part of those values is not

turning people away in their hour of need, so when you make that statement you are un-American.
People immigrate to America for many reasons. School, work, fleeing mass murder, persecution, a fresh start, anything, because America improves their living situation. Immigration has risen in these past years, and as seen in the graphs and charts below, different types of immigrants have different reasons.

People immigrate because America gives them hope, but America this past year has been exposed, and all its racism has taken over. We no longer see America as a place of hope, and if this continues, immigrants will see America as a place of hate.
