Your Sun

You see me as your sun,
it's true, I'm burning up,
bit by bit,
chunk by chunk.

So you say I am your sun,
burning bright for all to see,
spreading happiness and warmth,
but in truth, it's a disease.

You look at me as your sun,
the center of your universe,
but indeed, I've chosen another plan,
and burned your world up with my curse.

So you see me as the sun,
and like the sun I would advise,
wear sunblock, be protected,
cover your skin and close your eyes.

It's too bad that I couldn't just light your world,
I had to take things too far,
and ended your world in flames,
leaving ashes in a fiery char.
