Tessa wasn't send up to the maze regularly. The box was sent up 3 days earlier than it normally come up. She was put in the maze for the boys to find.

SLIGHTLY AFTER SHE HAD LEFT, Tessa had gone to the dead ends to get some peice. She had made up a game to pass time. She carved a circle with smaller circles in it. She would take rocks and try and hit the targets. She was in the middle of a throw when—
"Tessa!" Chuck ran from behind her frantically but he had a smile on his face "What's wrong Chuck?" She asked "The girl, she's awake" Chuck said "come see" Chuck motioned for her to follow and she did. They came to the tower where a bunch of gladers stood, some with boxes as shields from the rocks that were being thrown by the girl on top of the tower. It reminded Tessa of the day she got here.
Chuck laughed at the gladers who were getting hit "Tess, Chuck what's going on?" Thomas asked "Girls are awesome" Chuck said and pointed to the tower where they stood
"Leave me alone!" The girl yelled
They tried to get closer as more rocks were thrown down and they held up their hands as sheilds "Hey! throw one more of those things and—" Gally said before getting hit with a rock "Go away!"
"I don't Think she likes us very much" Newt said as Winston covered his head "What do you want from me?" The girl yelled again "Hey we jsut wanna talk!" Thomas tried "I'm warning you!" More rocks were thrown "Take cover y'all"
"Hey—Hey it's Thomas!" Thomas yelled up at the girl and the rocks stopped as the girls head peaked from the tower "Look I'm gonna come up with Tessa okay?" Thomas said and the girls head disappeared "Okay. Just us" Thomas said to Gally
The two made their way up the tower "We're coming up" Thomas said, giving the girl enough time to say no or protest.
Thomas peaked his head up first and Tessa was not far below him as he saw the girl holding up the knife he held a hand to get Tess to stop
"Woah Woah Woah— jsut, easy" Thomas slowly got up and let Tess climb up "alright?" "Where am I?" The girl asked "what is this place? Why can't I remember anything?"
"This is all normal, we've all been through this, okay? Your name, that will come back to you in a couple days. It's the one thing—" "Teresa" the girl said "What you say?" "My name. It's Teresa"
"Well, Theresa, I'm Thomas" he said "this is Tessa. But you already knew that I guess huh?" "They said I kept saying your name in my sleep" Theresa said "who are you two?" She asked
"I don't know. We don't know. We can't remember" Thomas said "none of us here can remember anything. We all woke up here jsut like you did. I promise" Thomas still held a hand out "I'm gonna take this" he said going to take the huge knife away from her
"What's going on up there?" Gally called up and Thomas stood up "Is she coming down?" Newt asked Thomas looked down at Teresa before answering
"Hey, you guys just give us a second okay?" Thomas said and the gladers moved from their place, and back to their jobs
"Shes the last one ever. What does that mean?" Teresa asked as the three of them sat on the edge of the tower with their legs dangling. Tessa laid between the two on her back. She felt tired and drained "I don't know" Thomas said "but ever since you came up that box hasn't gone Back down. I think it's just got everyone a little worried. Especially Gally"
"He thinks it's my fault" She said. Tessa slowly sat up
"Are you sure you don't remember anything else?" Tessa asked "I remember water. Feeling like I was drowning" she siad "these faces starring at me. And this voice, this women's voice saying the same thing over and over"
"Wicked is good" Thomas and Tessa said in sync. Teresa looked at them
"Ever since I've been here I've had these dreams. I thought they were dreams.... you... you were there" Thomas said "you were there and you told me that everything was gonna change"
"What does it mean?" "I don't know. I jsut always get peices" "And the others don't remember anything?" "No" Thomas siad "Why are we different?" Tessa asked
Theresa reached in her pocket and pulled out three tubes of something "These were in my pocket when I came up" she said
Thomas took them from her and looked at them. Tessa looked at the letters "WICKD" Thomas said "wicked is good" "Those are the same letters that were on the thing that came out of the griever"
"What if we were sent here for a reason?"
They had brought the tubes to Newt and he held one of them "We don't know what this is, or who sent them or why it came up with you. For all we know it could kill him" "How could he get any worse?" Tessa asked "Yeah, he's already dieing, it's worth a shot"
"Fine. Do it"
Thimas went beside Alby and got the stuff ready "Alright" Thomas siad before Albys eyes shot open and grabbed his color "You shouldn't be here" Alby said as everyone rushed to get Thomas out of his grasp
"Get the syringe!"
Thomas got out of Albys grasp and sunk the needle into Albys abdomen quickly making him go limp
"Okay, that worked" Jeff said "Okay, from now on, someone stays here and watched him, around The clock"
"Hey" they turned to see Gally at the door "Sundown greenie. Time to go" he said
Thomas gave Tessa a reassuring look before following Gally out to the pit for the night. Tessa felt Teresa hold her hand giving her comfort and then Tessa showed Teresa to her room where the boys decided it would be best for her to sleep
Tessa climbed in the bed and looked up at the ceiling "Teresa?" She asked "Yeah Tessa?" "Do you think I'm dangerous?" "No, why would I think that?" "Just wondering" Tessa said before drifting off to sleep
