DAX POV

I wake up to the sound of my alarm blaring. I have a migraine on the right side of my head that weighs my head down to the pillow.

"Can you shut that off Baby?"

I hear the messy blond on the edge of my bed complain loudly. Oh great she is calling me "baby" now. I quietly think to myself as I roll my eyes.

"You have got to go. I have work to do." I coldly respond to her. Her pet names have convinced me that this one has run her course. No need to further lead her on.

"What? Am I distracting you...?" She says in a flirty tone as she rolls over closer to me.

"Yes. Haven't you ever heard of over staying your welcome?" I can tell that I have embarrassed her. She grabs her things and starts to dress quickly with exaggerated huffs and puffs to prove that she is annoyed with me.

Then just as she is about to leave she stands in the door way and dramatically turns to say, "You know you're a real ass hole". Then she slams the door and I can hear her trashy heels stomping down my hall way and out my front door. I walk over to the window and smile as I watch her get into her Uber. I take a quick 5-minute ice cold "sober up" shower. I drink a protein shake and gel my hair back before finally topping everything off with a little cologne.

As I arrive for work my best friend Bo greets me at the large glass office door. "You're in for a hell of a day" Bo says as he hands me a coffee. Working in Food Television has its ups and downs. I don't usually have issues with the shows I produce or the marketing teams I run. I'm good at my job and I rarely ever feel stressed. Helps that I'm the lead producer for the most profitable show. That leaves me wondering what Bo could possibly mean when he says I'm in for a hell of a day.

I give Bo a questioning look and as he turns and points into the all glass conference room where some executive producers and my marketing boss are all standing and staring as if they were specifically waiting for me.

"Morning fellas how are all of you on this fine morning?" I say as cherry as possible despite my pounding headache that has not decreased. I look behind them to see Gustavo Boardaccini, our most popular television personality chef, on the TV screen behind them.

One of the executives holds a laser pointer up to the TV screen and says

"Have you watched the news this morning Mr. Collins?" before I can answer he continues by saying,

"Our very own Gustavo Boardaccini has been accused of sexual harassment and denied all charges before a witness leaked videos of him overtly making sexual movements towards a female employee while she was bending down to pick something up off the ground."

Shit. Is all I can think. Shit. Shit. Shit. I have been running the marketing and production team for Boardaccini for the past four years. I've taken him on multiple tours and helped market multiple restaurants under his name. I knew that he was an ass. Everyone knew he was an ass. But unfortunately it wont be everyone else's ass on the line. I quickly try work out a way to twist the situation in a positive light. A way to have him apologize perfectly... A way to make the whole situation go away. But I can not think of a single way to help the situation.

Usually I'm pretty good at this stuff. Knowing the right thing to say. I rarely have to pull anyone from my public relations team to help with this kind of shit. Twisting and selling stories to boost my clients reputations is easy for me. I'm a great in production because I'm good at spotting stars. I picked Boardaccini early in his career. I used my unique marketing style and team to form him into what he is now...well what he was anyway before this huge mess. Now he's just a scummy piece of shit that's going to cost me a lot of money.
