"it's yeonjun ma'am. i go to the same school as beomgyu." yeonjun smiles politely.
"oh really? are you two in the same class?"
"no i'm a junior. we met through some incidents and i recently became his tutor."
beomgyu lays his head on yeonjun's shoulder. "now i've two people who care about me, but sadly none of them are my parents." he hums smiling at their reaction.
his father ignores the nasty remark and asks "since when do you need a tutor beomgyu? are you not paying attention in class?"
"uhm i don't know if you've noticed, but i'm dumb. last year i had to spend my whole spring break at school to pass.. remember?" beomgyu plays a dirty game and his father is not here for it.
a little tension rises in between beomgyu and his father. his mother nervously laughs through the awkward silence.
"ah but beomgyu isn't dumb. he just has trouble learning, cause he can't seem concentrate." yeonjun's friendly voice cuts right through the tension.
beomgyu smiles a bit. he finds it quite intriguing how yeonjun can be so calm and friendly. it also makes him feel a little guilty for putting yeonjun in this situation.
"see, i do try to pay attention. anyways nice conversation but now i'm going upstairs with yeonjun." beomgyu stands up and yeonjun follows.
"yeonjun would you like to join us for dinner?" his mother asks quickly before they leave.
"n-" beomgyu starts but gets interrupted by yeonjun. "yes i would like that, thank you."
beomgyu shots an unapproved look at yeonjun before walking up the stairs to his room.
they enter beomgyu's lilac room. and beomgyu immediately runs to his closet searching for a sweatpants.
yeonjun just looks around. it's quite messy, but the room feels like as if he's in beomgyu's head. a lot of interesting drawings lay scattered on his desk.
"did you draw these?" yeonjun looks through the drawings.
"hm?" beomgyu looks to what yeonjun refers. "oh yeah, well i tried at least." beomgyu trades his skirt for his comfy sweatpants.
"wow wait this is taehyun right? you drew him so well!" yeonjun excitingly scans through the other drawings. damn there are a lot.
yeonjun's smile fades as he comes across an interesting drawing. it seems like a boy sitting in a corner with darkness surrounding him?
"these drawings say a lot about you huh?"
beomgyu smiles confused and walks up to him. "how's so?" his mouth forms an 'o' as he sees the drawing he made when he was in a sad mood.
"are you okay? like really okay?" yeonjun asks looking at beomgyu.
"are we ever okay." beomgyu jokes but yeonjun's serious look on his face doesn't disappear.
he sighs "i was just being dramatic, don't worry." beomgyu walks up to his bed and drops his body on the soft matras. "my parents aren't bad people, you know?"
yeonjun takes a seat next to him. not answering, just listening.
"it's just that their hate for each other is stronger than their love for me." beomgyu smiles lightly. "or maybe it's just their way of loving each other."
