Feeling alive again *Julie and the phantoms, Luke*

chapter 2

it was finally the morning of the eventful night before and I knew I had to speak to Julie about the cute ghost so I immediately got ready and began walking to her house. twenty minuites of walking i reach her door and knock on it for it to be answered by her father "hey maddie, Julies in the studio" he said with a smile "thank you" i answered as i quickly walked towards the studio, i was amazed at what i heard it was Julie singing I stumbled in as she looked at me shocked but didn't stop i was on the verge of tears as i listened for a bit until i felt confident enough to join in

wake up wake up if it's all you do, look out look inside of you....

our voices matched perfectly as we both smiled at eachother with shock and amazment, you see this was actually the first time i sang in front of her, i only really sing when i'm alone but i guess this was the right time to show her. when the song finally came to an end we were both in tears looking at each other and hugged, what we didn't know was that the boys had also heard us, when we pulled apart we both looked at each other "you can sing!" we both exclaimed at the same time pulling each other back into a hug just before flynn came storming in sobbing and shutting us both up before beginning to ramble. i figured it was a good time to leave as i slowly left the studio I immediatly met eyes with Luke and the others "you guys good" i asked the three blankly before walking towards the gate and closing it before Luke quickly poofed in front of me causing me to jump "don't do that" i snapped causing him to step back "sorry" he said softly "you guys can sing " he exclaimed stepping forward, i stood there in shock blankly staring at him "n no... i don't sing" I said shocked Luke stared at me blankly and stepped forward we were merely an inch away from each other "yes you do i just heard you, you were amazing " he said happily i smiled softly at him "i gotta go " I said before pushing past him to leave, i quickly stopped in my tracks before turning to look at him "did i just... touch you?" i said in a confused voice before taking a step forward he quickly nodded as i went to poke him and it didn't go through him, i gasped in shock "i felt that, i actually felt" he exclaimed looking at me "i got to go tell the guys" he said turning and walking away as i stood there blankly. what the hell just happened.

as we stood there pleading for Julie to get back into the music programn i couldn't help but think of how i touched Luke, what does this mean ? i wonder if can touch the others and why? i zone back into the room of Flynn begging for her to be allowed to come back "but she's amazing she needs to be in the programn" i argue but the teacher just shakes her head "i'm sorry but theres nothing i can do " she answers as we alll let out a sigh and walk away.

"maddie i really need to talk to you" Julie yells as i walk through the crowded halls, i come to a halt and look at her smiling "i got to tell you something as well but you first" i said softly she looked at me confused but immediately brushed it off "i'm performing spontainiously in music class and i want you to sing with me, our voices match perfectly" she said smiling i looked at her blankly "i i can't, i don't sing in front of people, i will literally pass out" i stuttered, she looked at me with a dissapointed face "okay, but will you at least practise with" she said with less enthusiam, i smiled and nodded at her and she gave me a hug "come on lets practise" she said as we began walking together. "what did you need to tell me?" she asked as i brushed it "nothing important, it can wait" i said.

it was the time for Julie to perform and she looked nervous "you'll do great" i said comforting her as we were walking to the class. we reached it but only saw flynn playing the trumpet sadly "where is everyone?" I ask with a confused tone, she looked at us both blankly "spirit rally, I'm not going, you?" she answered we both look at eachother, we completely forgot about the assebly "well i was going to perform but i guess i can't now" Julie said with dissapointment Flynn looked at us with dissapointed before piping up with a smile "not true" she stated as she walked to us and grabbed both of our arms and dragged us somewhere. we ended up in the spirit assembly and watched carrie and some friends in pink performing, they were pretty good to be fair, i mentally slapped myself for that thought. we watched them for a minuite before the boys poofed in front of us out of no where causing me to jump "what are you guys doing here?" i whispered "we're here to see you guys stick it to the man" luke answered "well it's just Julie doing that" i quickly whispered, Luke looked almost dissapointed when i said that "what! you need to perform your amazing" he says desperatly, i blushed at his comment and smiled "i don't sing in front of people" i answered before he could say anything the music had stopped and i felt a tap on my shoulder "will you come with me? you don't have to sing" Julie asked softly i looked at her and nodded as we both walked towards the stage, i stood on the sidelines of the stage so no one but Julie could see me. "go bobcats" was what we heard from the headmaster which meant it was Julies turn to sing, i felt horrible that i couldn't sing with her, damn my singing stage fright. she played her first note before pausing and looking at the guys and then me for support i gave her a sweet nod before she played again and begins to sing, ahe sounds amazing and I was so close to singing with her but my body wouldn't let me step onto the stage. the second she makes it to the chorus the guys appear on the stage as she lets out a small giggle while singing, i brush my shoulders to try and comfort myself in an attempt to sing but i just couldn't. Luke began to sing and look at me and gesturing for me to join but i shook my head however he was persistant. he held out his arm and waved me over just before the chorus, i don't know what came over me but i ran out and grabbed his hand as he twirled me around and then grabbed the mic between us as we both started singing and walking across the stage.

through the night, you and i will shine forever , bright forever....

i don't know what happened but it was like it was just Luke and i and no one else, i saw an electric guitar on the side of the stage already plugged in and began playing to help the ending, it was exhilerating, the guys poofed away making the audience gasped, julie quickly turned to me "you can touch luke?" she said with confusion i looked at her "yeah it's weird i don't really know how and i'm not sure if i can touch the others or not" i answered with a shrugg.
