I sit alone in the dark, breathing in the musky smell of the old room. My name is Iris, I'm 23 years old and still insulated and abused by my foster "parents", if you can even call them that. My mother died when I was 6, and my father got into using drugs and getting drunk everyday. He then sent me to an orphanage on my seventh birthday. I heard he overdosed two years later. Fast forward 8 years, I'm being moved from home to home because of all the abuse from the other children. I was then moved to San Diego where I went to Claremont High. I didn't fit in because I listened to different music and I dressed in all black. I became good friend with two brothers, Mike and Vic. When I was 18 I moved into an apartment with them and when I was 20, I started a band called This Too Shall Pass. Mike and Vic started a band too, called Pierce The Veil. When I met Jaime and Tony we instantly became friends.
