A Modest Proposal

"Listen, Steph." Jimmy started, "I may not be the most responsible man, but I try."

"I forgot to give you the ring." Steph admitted, but Jimmy was already to deep into his confession to comprehend

"I've been trying to be a more responsible man...and did-did you just say you have the ring?" He gasped, finally grasping the situation

"Yeah. I forgot to give it to you. So...I guess neither of us are as responsible as we should be." She smiled

"So we ruined these sandwiches for nothing?" I asked

"This is so exciting!" Jackson giggled like a little girl, as he brushed his hair before the big proposal

"Did you just giggle?" I laughed

"You know they should've let you hold the ring. You could've worn it on your finger...it would have looked nice." Jackson smirked, setting down his brush

"Was that an attempt at flirting...about engagement. We're 17 and not even dating." I blushed, leading him down the hallway so we could meet with the rest of the group before the proposal

Jackson stayed silent until we walked out of the house, and got closer to the group, "It won't stay that way forever."

He sent a small wink, before moving to where all the men stood for their queue

"What was that all about?" Ramona asked, dragging me towards our spot for the dance

"I don't know." I whispered, a bit flustered

Music started up, shaking me from my thoughts and forcing me to rush after Ramona to perform out part of the group dance

What DJ believed was an elaborate proposal for Kimmy, actually belonged to her. The plan had been cooking for weeks, and she had been completely oblivious to Steve's plans. Steve even let me help him pick out the ring.

Everyone took their part in the dance, before Kimmy jumped out of her wheel chair and cast, shocking Dj as she ran to dance with Fernando

"What's happening? Dad?" Dj asked, looking around confused as Danny came dancing up to her

"I just had to be here for you big moment." He smiled

"What big moment?" Dj asked

Jessie began to play a soft tune on his guitar, while Danny pointed to Steve approaching, "This one."

"Hey, Deej." He smiled, standing in front of her dressed in his best suit

"Steve?" Dj gasped

"What do you say, Mr. Tanner? Do I have you blessing?" Steve asked

"Of course you do." Danny smiled, moving to stand with the rest of the group, leaving the two

Steve knelt down on one knee, opening up the engagement box, "Donna Jo Margaret Tanner Fuller... we first met 27 years ago, and my life has never been the same. The good times with you were some of the best of my life."

I smiled at Steve's words, gently leaning my head on Jackson's shoulder.

"I don't know how we lost each other, but somehow we found each other again. Life pulled us apart once. I never want that to happen again. I never want to miss another moment with you and Jackson and Max and Tommy. You're the last thing I think about when I fall asleep. And I would be the happiest man in the world if yours was the first face I see when I wake up every morning. DJ, will you marry me?" He asked

"Yes. Yes. A million times yes." Dj cheered, jumping up and down before leaning in the give him a kiss, while he slipped the ring on her finger

"You guys did all this for me?" She asked

"No, you did this for you." Jessie laughed

"And you're totally worth it." Joey smiled

"And I've been hiding out in the alcove for two days, and nobody noticed." Danny joked

"You're impossible to surprise. The only way to trick you was to keep you busy tricking Kimmy. I had to ask Farrah to help me pick out the ring, because I knew Kimmy and Steph wouldn't be able to keep quiet." Steve admitted

"Kimmy and I do not need to get re-engaged. That's not even a thing." Fernando said

"Oh, I beg to differ." Kimmy disagreed, pulling him into the middle, "Fernando Hernandez Guerrero Fernando Guerrero, will you make me the happiest woman alive and be my husband again?"

Fernando happily accepted, jumping up and down just as Dj had done before him

"You know what this means? We're all getting married!" Dj realized, making everyone cheer

"Watch them plan a triple wedding." I whispered to Jackson, only joking, not realizing that'd it would actually come true
