Farrah's POV

Jackson, Ramona, and I were all gathered in the kitchen. Jackson was talking to Cosmo, while Ramona and I ate.

Jackson and I never talked about last night. I think he thought it was more of a in-the-moment kind of thing. For me, it was all feelings, but I'd never tell him that.

"Cosmo, pay attention. My girlfriend, Lola, is bringing her new dog, Spot, for me to watch overnight, so I need you to play nicely and be very careful where you sit." Jackson said, making me laugh

"Lola wants all three of us to watch her dog." Ramona reminded him.

"I'm her boo, I'm in charge." Jackson argued

"Hey, Mr. In charge, your shirt's on backwards." I noted, as I continued to eat my pretzels

He looked down at his shirt embarrassed, as he attempted to adjust it

"And inside out." I added

"I know." He said trying to cover it up, "Now."

"Hi!!" Lola greeted, walking in with a small tarantula cage, "Meet, Spot"

"That's not a dog." Jackson noticed, as he looked at the cage

"That's a tarantula." I added, completely confused.

Lola put the cage in Ramona's hands, ignoring all of our confusion and slight fear.

"Why would you name a tarantula Spot?" Ramona asked

"Because when he bites, he leaves a spot." Lola laughed.

This bitch crazy

"You wanna pet him?" She asked

"Well your boo's in charge, so you should probably do that." Ramona said, handing the cage to Jackson

"Oh, no, no... I'm a gentleman. Ladies first." He said, putting the cage in my hands.

"I insist. Take it." I argued, pushing it back into his arms

"I gotta go. Here's a box of crickets for his dinner. And FYI, he loves being stroked on his fuzzy little thorax." Lola said

"Who doesn't?" Jackson asked with an awkward laugh

"Thank you guys." Lola said, hugging me and Ramona, then kissing Jackson on the cheek, making me roll my eyes

"Nah, don't worry, I got this, bae." Jackson said.

We watched Lola walk out the kitchen door,  before turning back towards each other

"I'll give you 20 bucks to watch him." Jackson said to Ramona

"Let's be grateful she left her snake at home." Ramona said

"She has a snake too?" I asked

"Why am I so attracted to bad girls." Jackson asked

Me and Ramona looked at him, before sprinting out of the kitchen and leaving him alone with the tarantula.

Later, everyone was gathered in the living room to hear Stephanie perform the song she wrote for Jimmy, with her new band.

Jackson and I sat on the floor, and everyone else was on the couch or in chairs.

"This is my new song, with my new band. And I wrote this song for my dreamy boyfriend, Jimmy. It's called "The Boy Next Door." Steph announced

Her band started, and some people started to record, while others watched.

As she kept singing, we started dancing. Me and Jackson hooked arms and skipped in a circle, like children.

When the song ended, we all paused our dancing and gave her a large round of applause

"Thank you, family who would cheer for me even if I stunk." Steph said

"Oh, no. You slayed it." Jimmy said, crying

"I'm so proud of you!" Dj cheered

Dj handed me Tommy, "Will you guys put Tommy down for a nap?"

"Sure." Jackson and I agreed

I gently took the toddler from her arms, adjusting him in my arms, before following Jackson up the stairs

That night, Jackson, Ramona, and I were gathered in front of the tarantula cage. None of us wanted to take care of Spot on our own, so we all secretly contemplated our plans of escape

"You know, Spot's kinda cute." Ramona said

"In the 'ugliest thing I've ever seen in my entire life' kind of way." I added, disagreeing

"You like it, you feed it." Jackson said to Ramona

"We'll do it together. I'll open the lid and you guys get the crickets." She said

"Okay" We both agreed

She opened the lid, then jumped back as we put the crickets in the cage. Jackson held the container over the cage, and I quickly shook it before we both moved away

"We did great!" Ramona cheered

"You know, feeding things makes me hungry. Have you ever eaten an insect?" Jackson asked

"No. But a ladybug flew up my nose once." Ramona said, as we walked into the kitchen to grab snacks.

"Morning, Spot." Jackson greeted, as we walked down the stairs the next day

Jackson and Ramona continued on their way, but I quickly realized that Spot was no longer in the tiny cage

"Spot?" I questioned, looking around the living room

Ramona and Jackson paused what they were doing, and joined me to look at the cage with terrified expressions

"Dios mio, he's gone!" Ramona cried

"What are the chances we're ever gonna find him?" Jackson asked

We heard a bunch of kids yell from outside, signaling the spider was somewhere in that vicinity.

"I'd say pretty good." I nodded, as we all sprinted for the backyard

"Mom, wait! Don't hurt that spider." Jackson yelled once he was out the back door

"I'll hold the cage, you flick." He said, gesturing to the large spider

"No, I'll hold the cage, you flick." I argued

"I don't care who flicks. Just freaking flick!" Max cried, as he stayed still as to not disturb the spider on his head

I held the cage up, and Jackson flicked it inside. I instantly shut the top of the cage, giving Max the freedom to run inside

Lola walked into the back yard and gasped, "Aw, that's so nice! You took Spot on his morning walk."

"Of course we did." Jackson lied

"We love the little fellow" Ramona said

"Here" I groaned, pushing the cage into Lola's arms, refusing to spend another moment with the creature
