″No time for goodbyes.″ a mumbling voice sounded.  Climbing the fire escape, nails scraped against  the rusted metal he glanced back at the world he was finally escaping

a city that had done him so much wrong and so little right stood before him.


wind flipped his hair, tossing and turning the once lightly curled brown locks into a mess of dark, oily, tangles. Upon reaching the top he looked down once more. His stomach turned as adrenaline kicked into overdrive, he felt everything, and nothing all at once. The blood pulsing in his veins. His heart-rate is going

His mind felt fuzzy and swarmed, as if  he wasn't all there and right before he took that final breath, the final step into oblivion.  His mind cleared and the last thought which crossed his mind was 'I feel so alive.'  And he dropped.

Plunging into the dark abyss below him, sirens sounded and city lights danced around his falling form. He laughed manically as he fell , out stretching his arms into the sky. Plummeting soon, to his death and as his spine cracked on pavement, a smile stood on his face
