Part 25

Juliet- Okay. (cries)

Jughead- Hey, don't cry baby girl, everything's okay.

She nodded but continued to cry so he began to rock her slowly in his arms.

Soon she fell asleep so he picked her up and walked out of the bedroom to see Veronica and Reggie just listening.

Veronica- So Betty's okay?

Jughead- I don't know if I would say okay...but she is away from Nick so he can't hurt her.

Reggie- Jesus...was it bad?

Jughead- (nods) I don't know exactly what happened but she barely let me touch her and she was just so scared.

Veronica- Shit, please update us when you see her tomorrow, maybe I can help with something.

Jughead- I will and thank you for watching Jules.

Reggie- Of course, we're always here for you guys.

Jughead- I have to get her home now but I'll talk to you tomorrow.

Reggie- Alright, bye man.

Jughead- Bye.

Jughead walked out with Juliet in his arms. He brought her down to the car and drove them home.

As soon as they got back to the house he carefully picked her up and brought her to his bed.

He placed her down gently before going to the bathroom and getting changed into pyjamas.

As he was brushing back his hair he felt little hands touch his leg.

He looked down and saw Juliet so he knelt down in front of her and gave her a kiss.

Jughead- Baby, you need to be asleep.

Juliet- I want you.

Jughead- Okay, come here.

She wrapped her arms around his neck as he picked her up and brought her back to bed.

He got under the covers with Juliet lying on top of him and they cuddled close before falling asleep.

The next morning when Jughead woke up he looked at Juliet and saw that she was still fast asleep in his arms.

That didn't surprise him though, she didn't sleep well last night.

He just held her in his arms for a while until she finally started to stir awake. As her eyes opened she instantly started to cry.

Jughead- Baby, what's wrong?

Juliet- Dada, I want Mama. (sobs)

Jughead- Shh, I know baby, but don't worry, we can go see her today.

She curled into her father's chest and slowly calmed down.

Jughead- Did you sleep okay?

Juliet- Yeah...but I miss mommy, can we go see her? (quietly)

Jughead- She's probably not awake yet but if you really wanna go now we can get dressed and eat a quick breakfast then head down there.

Juliet- Yes!

She jumped up and smiled widely which made him happy.

Jughead- Alright, let's get ready.

The both got dressed before going downstairs and making breakfast together.

They made chocolate chip pancakes, Juliet loved them. But once they were done she didn't want to wait anymore, she just wanted to see her mother.

Juliet- Daddy can we please go? I want mama.

Jughead- We can go baby, but you have to be very calm and gentle when we see mommy, okay?

Juliet- Okay!

They went to the car and we're about to drive away, but first Jughead texted Veronica.

On text:

Jughead- Hey, Jules and I are about to head over to the hospital...could you possibly come over to my house and turn the guest bedroom into a room for Jules.

Veronica- Of course! What do you need me to get?

Jughead- Everything. Clothes, books, toys, bed...anything you think she would want/need.

Veronica- Okay, Reggie and I will get everything set up for you.

Jughead- Thank you so much!

Veronica- No problem, just make sure my two favourite girls are okay.

Jughead- I will.

Off text:

Then Jughead put his phone down and drove them to the hospital.

The whole drive to the hospital Juliet talked to her father about what she was going to say to her mom, he thought it was so cute.

Finally once they made it he pulled her out of the car and held her hand as they walked in.

He went straight to the front desk and began to ask about Betty.

Jughead- Is she awake yet?

FD- Not yet but I can see if you're allowed in.

Jughead- Thank you so much.

The woman quickly went to check with the doctors but while she was gone Juliet became clingy and held onto her fathers leg.

He bent down and picked her up, as he did she hugged him and hid her head in his neck.

He felt his shirt become slightly damp so he placed Juliet on the counter in front of them and looked into her teary eyes.

Jughead- Baby, hey, what's wrong?

Juliet- I miss mommy.

Jughead- I do too love but we're gonna see her soon.

Juliet- Promise?

Jughead- I promise.

She nodded while reaching her arms back out for him.

He pulled her into his hip and held her tight until the woman from the front came back.

FD- Usually we aren't allowed to have people back until the patient is awake after being on anesthetiser but since you have a kid we'll allow it.

Jughead- Thank you so much!

FD- She's in room 352, try to be as quiet as possible until she's awake.

Jughead- We will.

Juliet- Thank you. (quietly)

FD- Of course sweetheart.

He looked down at Juliet before walking to Betty's room.

Once they made it to the door he placed his daughter on the ground and knelt down in front of her.
