She sat in one corner of her room, holding her knees close to her chest.

Her body trembled harder as the voices in her head grew louder.

For a second, it felt as if there was no way to escape, as if this was the end, just then she found a pair of earphones and an old mp3 player, her sanctuary.

A sigh of relief escaped her lips as she plugged them in and played the first song she could find and increased the volume to the max.

After a minute or so, the music seeemed so loud that it felt like, her ears would explode. It hurt her, but the voices in her head hurt more.

Slowly, the loud music drained out all those voices and she found comfort in the throbbing pain in her ears.
