It was a clear night. A night where you could stare at the stars and feel as if nothing bad could happen. Riley had just left the home that she is being forced to leave. She knew they had to move. It was an amazing opportunity for them. She also knew she shouldn't have stormed out, but she just couldn't control her anger. She had lived in that town her whole life. It was her home. She grew up there.

That's how she found herself out in the middle of the street staring at the stars. She didn't hear the loud engine of the car speeding down the street until she heard the loud honking, but there was nothing she could do, she was frozen. She stood there as the car inched closer to her. Just as she was about to be hit, a force jumped on her and tackled her to the sidewalk.

"You alright?" A deep voice said. As soon as she heard the voice, she immediately looked up into the most stunning green eyes she had ever seen. He looked about her age, maybe a little older. He was muscular and had this soft-looking black hair. He was a very attractive looking guy and he was laying on top of her. She blushed and stammered out.

"y-yeah."

"Okay," he said while getting off of her and standing a few feet away, much to her disappointment. They both felt this spark between them, wanting them closer to each other.

"I'm Riley."

"Derek."

"You live around here?"

"I'm just passing through," he says and Riley notices this overwhelming sadness in his eyes. It makes her heart clench. She doesn't like to see people sad. He looked broken. They continue talking and find themselves inching closer to each other, subconsciously.

Derek didn't know what he was doing. He knows he can't get close to anyone. He knows that everyone he loves just gets hurt, but for some reason, he just can't stop himself. He's drawn to her.

Once their lips were a few inches apart, Riley whispered, "Do you want to do something crazy?" Her lips grazed his before she closed the gap and kissed him for a few seconds. When he didn't react she pulled away just a little, but they weren't apart long. They were like magnets, attracted to each other. Derek smashed his lips against hers, closing the small space between them. Their lips moved in sync, before Derek bit her bottom lip causing Riley to gasp. Derek took advantage of this and slid his tongue in her mouth. She moaned at the feeling of him dominating her tongue with his.

Riley didn't plan to have a one night stand with a stranger. Derek hadn't either. All they knew was that they both wanted each other. Even if it were just for a night. They went to Derek's hotel room. Riley did stay until morning but she woke up to an empty bed and no clue as to where he had gone. She shouldn't have been as disappointed as she was. Though, she was disappointed she didn't regret it at all. It was the best thing to ever happen to her.
