Naruto Mitarashi

Chapter 1: the Beginning

Naruto is the adopted son of Anko Mitarashi. The twelve year old learned everything he knew from her, and a Uchiha by the name of Shisui. Shisui was his brother, in all but blood. Not that anyone knew, of course.

In fact, most Uchiha hated Naruto, so Shisui kept their relationship hidden. Now there's only one Uchiha left. All though, Sasuke only hated Naruto, because he could never beat the boy in the weekly spars that they had.

Sitting in class, his shoulder-length spiky yellow-blonde hair just barely covers his eyebrows. A thin vertical vertical scar covers his closed right eye, while his left eye is an azure blue. His trademark characteristics are the three whisker markings on both of his cheeks.

Naruto wears a short-sleeve blue open, white furred fur coat, black fingerless gloves, with a metal plate on the back of them. A white swirl with a tassel is on the left sleeve, and a red Uzumaki Swirl is on the upper back of the jacket. Under the coat is an orange long-sleeve t-shirt. He also wears black pants, with the ankles taped up with bandages, a shuriken holster on his right knee, blue shinobi sandals, and a navy blue clothed Konoha hitai-ate is around his forehead.

Hanging horizontally on the back of his waist is a tanto. It is the exact same tanto that Shisui wielded, until his death. A dango stick is hanging from his lips, as he just had some for breakfast.

He somewhat loudly sighs, as his former Sensei: Iruka is going on about how proud he is, and how they are finally adults in the eyes of the village.

Now comes to the important part of the day; Genin team placements. Iruka, after notifying most of the class of their teams, it is now time for the "Clan heirs" to learn of their teams.

Iruka says, "Team 7 consists of Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, and Sai. Team 8 Consists of Kiba Inuzuka, Hinata Hyuga, and Shino Aburame. Team 9 is still in rotation, so Team 10 consists of Ino Yamanaka, Shikamaru Nara, and Choji Akimichi. Team 11 consists of Naruto Mitarashi, Kiyoshi Hyuga, and Yanagi."

Kiyoshi has light brown hair and very pale skin like his mother, and eyes and face like his father. His hair covers the left side of his face while the rest of his hair goes to his chin.

Kiyoshi wears a green sweatshirt with the Hyuga symbol on the back, with a tight dark blue, turtle-neck , pants, and open-toed boots. He also has helix earrings on both ears. Around his forehead is a navy blue clothed Konoha hitai-ate.

His hitai-ate hides the shame of being a slave to the Main House.

Yanagi has always been the runt of the group; scrawny, bony, and significantly shorter than her peers due to malnutrition. Thus, even after many years, she had retained the same washboard, overly skinny-bordering on an unhealthy look that allowed her to pass as a boy.

Yanagi has dark greyish blue hair, which is slightly curly, pale skin and hooded, downturned yellow eyes.

Yanagi's hair is cut in an almost boyish hairstyle; her hair is very messy and is cut unevenly- suggesting that she might have done it herself, and her fringe is cut straight, stopping right above her eyes. She also keeps her side fringes longer than the rest of her hair, reaching her chin.

She wears a loose, black, turtleneck crop top with bishop sleeves and a slit down the middle, starting from the chest area. Her forehead protector is also tied around her left arm. There are also small embellishments across the shoulders, in a circle of small rectangles in yellow. Underneath, she wears a black, long-sleeved shirt. On the bottom, she has a short pale orange wrap-around skirt, which is secured by a burnt orange strip of cloth, tied in a bow around her waist. She also has a pair of black stirrup leggings-with her shuriken holster on her right leg-and wears blue shinobi sandals.

The two were shocked. Naruto was the best in the class. He was even better than Sasuke. And they were on a team with him? Yanagi is an orphan, while Kiyoshi is a Hyuga, he is a member of the Branch House.

He knew his place in the Hyuga Clan. He was talented, sure. But not to Neji's level. No one was. Both he, and Hinata couldn't hope to win against Neji in a two v one. All though, Kiyoshi could probably hold his own better than Hinata can.

As the Genin gather around their teammates, Iruka says, "Your Jounin-senseis will be coming to pick you up after lunch."

Iruka then leaves the room, allowing the Genin to leave for lunch.

And as the Genin begin to eat, The Sandaime Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, is sitting behind his desk. In front of him are several Jounin, and Tokubetsu-Jounin. These Shinobi are going to be the Jounin-senseis of the Genin Team.

Hiruzen then asks, "You have seen your new students. Now, do you have any questions?"

Seeing nobody did, the Sandaime says, "You may leave to collect your team."

He watches as all, but one Jounin leaves the office they were in.

The Jounin has purple eyes, shoulder-length, white-coloured hair and pointed, shark-like teeth — a trait which members of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist possess. He wears an outfit which consists of black, sleeveless shirt, light-purple-coloured pants and striped leg-warmers typical of Kirigakure. He carries a water bottle attached to a belt around his waist and wore bandages around his neck; another trait shared by the seven swordsmen. Around his forehead is a black clothed Konoha hitai-ate.

The Sandaime asks, "Still don't feel like you should be teaching Genin, Mangetsu?"

The newly named Mangetsu replies, "Yeah, no. I come from Kirigakure. We both know how they are with the Academy."

Hiruzen sighs. He says, "You have a great mission record in both Kiri, and Konoha. You were a former Seven Ninja Swordsmen. You have the skill, now all you have to do is pass it down to the next Generation. I have faith in you that you will be able to teach your Genin."

You see Mangetsu was found by a Genin, who just couldn't leave him to die. When Mangetsu recovered, he had amnesia. He didn't know who he was, or where he was from. But he didn't forget his skill.

It was a huge risk on Hiruzen's part. What if he remembered? Well Mangetsu did, a couple of months after he awoke. It paid off, when Mangetsu didn't leave Konoha. He simply replied, "That Konoha is his Village now."

It helped that he wore a mask when out of the Village, along with all of Kiri thinking he was dead. All though, he always thought of how devastated his brother must have been.

With renewed courage, Mangetsu leaves the Office, but before the door could leave, Hiruzen says, "I think it is high time you ditch that mask. Now collect you Genin."

Mangetsu does just that, not stopping until he reaches the classroom they were just observing just ten minutes prior. Turns out, he was early. As only one Shino Aburame was sitting in the room, mentally talking with one of his insects,
