Finally headed in the right direction our spirits lifted.

-Mandy what do you think of this trip. I mean is it worth all the effort?

-Tim well we're out of food and need a water filter.

But couldn't we just boil the water?

But then we wouldn't be sure if it was clean enough.

Just then a rustling came from a nearby tree.

-got ya!
It was the detective! he pulled a gun out of his pocket

-where's Jesiah?

-who. Mandy said quivering.

-The escapee.

-we woke up two days ago and he was just gone! Tim said trying to sound convincing

-oh that's okay then. The detective said

-Can we go? Mandy said

-do whatever.

-okay... Tim said suspiciously

We continued on our way.
The detective seemed to be following our tracks. Trying to find the way we came from.

After walking for a bit Tim said, something isn't right. We'd better get back and tell jesiah.

We knew the path we had taken so we made a large circle avoiding the detective and finding the path we'd taken.
We rushed back and after four hours with no breaks. We had arrived.

-Jesiah!

He quickly rushed down of his make-shift tower and gave Mandy a deep kiss.

-Tim. we gotta go right now!
-what's wrong!
-mandy. The detective will be here soon!
-leave everything!

Jesiah led the way brushing away the tracks with a pine branch.

-jesiah. There's a cave on the other side of the mountain we can hide in. We climbed down the mountain and jesiah led the way up the other side of it.

The ground was stony and untraceable. When we got to the cave we pulled out the last of our beef jerky and chewed down.
