It was a beautiful spring morning, the sun was rising and Mae's room transformed into a bright warm orangey colour, as the rays of light burst through the cracks of her window shades. Mae always opened her shades half way because she loved waking up to the Sun's waves of warmth on her face. Her room was small but a perfect size for her. She had a wooden framed standing mirror in the corner with photos of her favourite musicians, artworks and her parents. Next to it was a small wooden drawer that she stored her art supplies and her junk. Her desk was at the other corner near her closet and right beside the window. It was also wooden; she had her laptop covered with stickers, and her textbooks, notebooks and papers on the desk as she was a college student. The wall beside it was filled with papers of different cameras and drawings she'd made. Her closet doors were covered with photography she'd taken. Her bed was in the middle and had her vintage lamp shade and alarm clock.

As she was woken up she smiled putting on her stereo as Gold Motel was playing and got out of her bed and stretched. Even though it was six in the morning on a Friday she was getting ready to leave the house. Mae is 5'6 with skin like milk chocolate. Her hair is wildly curly and puffy and she loves it. Her eyes are almond shaped and dark brown. And she's slim. Mae is a university student with major of The Arts. After she brushed her teeth she got dressed. She wore a white of mice and men T-shirt and an oversized plaid long sleeved shirt unbuttoned, with ripped boyfriend jeans. She took her bag and her Yashica fx2000 camera. Mae loved everything vintage she collected vintage cameras and only worked with film, she did a lot of white and black photography because she believed it captured a glimpse of the soul and the rare emotions of people. She got her phone and put on her converse. Mae lives in the border in the suburbs of Mississauga/Oakville. She loves to walk around small town Oakville and take photographs of the lake. Mae got on the bus, paid the bus fare and sat in the middle seats and opened the window to feel the cool morning breeze on her face and hair. After passing her college and the train station she gets off at downtown Oakville and walks to the shore before going to work.
