Falling For The Nerd.

•Chapter 4•

When I see him my jaw drops to the floor in surprise and/or excitement! I immediately get up and try to look presentable even though I just got done watching Netflix and drinking hot chocolate. (Yes, it is Summer, and yes, I was drinking hot chocolate!)

"Hey Jalyn." He smiled.

"Hey! What are you doing here?" I ask.

"Kaye sa-" Kaye cut him off.

"I just figured it'd be cool for him to hang out a while!" She smiled cautiously.

"But you-ohhhh!" Cam trailed off.

Kaye winked at him.

What is going on?

"Well!, I am going to get Carter!" Kaye said.

"What? Why? You just dropped Cam off and now you're leaving?" I ask harshly.

"Yeah, I figured that I could bring Carter back and we could all just hang-out." She said.

"Oh, sorry" I said.

"It's fine." She laughed.

Cameron just stood there, really quietly, after Kaye left, like he was left with someone he hadn't never talked to before, or even looked at.

"What do you want to do while she's gone?" I ask.

"Netflix?" He smiled.

"YASSSS!" I yelled.

He laughed.

We sat down.

"What do you want to watch?"

"Anything!" He said.

"I don't really feel like movies, I'm hungry." I said handing Cam the Wii Remote.

"Oh, that's fine, we can just eat until she gets back..." he laughed. "I'm kidding, I don't want any food."

"I'm making pizza rolls." I said.

"Okay." He smiled.

...•1 hour later•...

We were sitting on the couch eating pizza rolls and just talking.

"Can I have your number?" I ask before I could stop myself.

"Oh-sure, here let me see your phone, I'll put it in." He smiled.

"You know, just in case I have a question on my homework or something." I lie.

"Smart Cookie, and a winky face with glasses?" I laugh.

"Yeah, everyone needs a cool nickname!" He winks.

I laugh.

"Let me put mine in your phone!" I say.

"Here." He says handing me his iPhone 6+, it's so big.

I type in 'Jay-Bug' with a lady-bug and a kissy face.

"Jay-Bug?" He laughs looking down at his huge screen.

"Everyone needs a nickname" I mock him and his nickname motto.

He smiles and laughs.

We took our plates to the kitchen and went back to the couch, Kaye still wasn't back, I'm used to it, she's always out late, and not to mention, never, ever, ever, on time! Me and Cam started talking again, and after a little while I got something in my eye and I couldn't get it out. Cameron seen me rubbing my eye.

"Is there something in your eye...Jay-Bug?" He laughed.

"Yeah, and I can't get it out. It really hurts!" I say ignoring the fact that he just called me 'Jay-Bug', even though he done it on purpose.

"Are you okay?" He asked cautiously.

"Is there anything in it?" I ask leaning over to the other side of the couch so he could see me.

We just stared at each other a second, he just looked at me...

"Uhm-n-no, I don't see anything." He quickly pulled away.

"Oh, okay. Thanks anyway." I said.
