The girls were surprisingly free and they jumped on the offer of hanging out at my place. Clara is sitting on my bed eating a bowl of Indomie noodles which she'd prepared in the kitchen, while Idia is reading one of my law textbooks, although she's now distracted by what I'd told them, which makes her abandon the book.

"So, you went through your guest's things and you found a photograph of eyes that looked like yours?" Idia asks me, repeating all that I've just narrated to them, and I nod in agreement. "And you're creeping out that they looked like yours and not the fact that you went through someone's diary?" She whispers the last word as if the owner of the diary, who is clearly not home, is going to hear us.

"Anyone can have big brown eyes, duh!" Clara sneers, chewing on her noodles. "I just have two questions," She raises her index and middle finger, "one: why would you go through someone's things? Two: Is he hot?"

Typical Clara.

"Answer to number one, you guys are judging me and that's not nice, I didn't mean to go through his things, and two, I don't know if he's hot. That's none of my business. I have Jackson and I shouldn't be harbouring thoughts of other guys,"

"Boring!" Clara boos, showing me her both thumbs upside down, "Being in a relationship doesn't mean marriage. Sometimes you have to keep a space in your head for some hot, telenovela guys in Mexico, I'm sure that your Jackson thinks of girls. Naked ones sef."

"Ahan, Clara! They just got back together, you shouldn't be saying things like that," Idia says, eyeing Clara who obviously doesn't care.

Clara was blunt and she always said things that sometimes got her in trouble, but she didn't care, it didn't make her less of who she was. She made it known that she never liked Jackson and whatever chance she got, she slandered him. Even Jackson was aware, and they both didn't like each other.

"But it's true nau. I don't trust that boy, I really don't know why madam here, decide to even let him back into her life."

"Umm... should I remind you how many times you let Mark into your life even when it was evident that he was 'the campus penis?" Idia fires at her, "everyone's definitely gonna go through this phase, at least once in a lifetime."

Clara hisses. "The fact that Mark was a community penis is the more reason we must all join hands and reject this Jackson boy, because he's one, too. Bad energy just following him up, down, left and right. If he does another rubbish again, I'm just gonna sit here and eat more noodles while you cry your eyes out,"

"That's so mean, Clara," I pout.

"Abeg, don't mind her. She's sex-starved so her hormones are probably acting up."

"Sex-starved? You have the wrong bitch, baby," Clara sassily says. "I got some good loving on Saturday night at that party and girl, it was good!"

I roll my eyes. "Yeah, right. You know, with the way you hype sex, one would think it's something special or maybe you're the ambassador of Durex,"

"And the fact you're studying law, one will think you're like... really relationship smart or something,"

"Meh, that was lame," Idia shuns.

I burst into a fit of laughter and that triggers Idia's funny bone, making her join me.

"I hate you guys," A frowning Clara says.

"It's mutual," Idia lowly replies.

Two years ago, when our friendship was still fresh and we were just a bunch of naive 'year one' students, except Clara though, she had always been more exposed to boys, which wasn't a bad thing. Clara hyped sex so much and that eventually made me super curious and excited to try it, so, when I got a boyfriend for the first time, I tried it. Ladies and gentlemen, it didn't only suck but Tobi and I broke up three days later for reasons related to Seun's overprotectiveness.
