Chapter One

"I have loved you since we were 18"

I hear my voice echo throughout the stadium, person by person, some fonding, some scrunching their noses, some quite possibly melting into puddles [oops]

What can I say-

And then I see him.

The reason for this lyric, the reason for every lyric, every song, everything I do.

He's shining... with sweat but it's still hot (matter of fact, sweat makes it even hotter)

He runs his hands through his hair once, making it stand up at places and settle down at others

He smiles at the crowd, his eyes twinkling, and his dimples show up

He turns, and looks at Liam, Niall, Zayn

And me.

He immediately brightens up, his smile more genuine, his eyes shining.

And he winks at me

"Long before we both thought the same thing"

I feel my face break into a smile

"to be loved and to be in love"

I walk over to him, mic in hand, as Zayn leads the chorus

I don't know what takes over me

But I'm kinda glad it does

I reach Harry, and, with the smile plastered on my face, I say, "Hey"

He looks amused

"Hey back," he replies in his deep, deep voice, putting away his mic

"So, you know the date today?" It's been a long time but he couldn't have forgotten...

Right?

"Sure do," he smirks, "it's the 28th of September, isn't it? As I recall, 2013 was an awesome year."

I raise my eyebrows and grin foolishly. He does remember.

"Listen, I know we've had our differences-"

He clears his throat, "It's been ages, different stages, that would be, if I'm not wrong"

"Yeah, yeah, you're not wrong," I nod with a smirk on my face, "7 years and no divorce either"

"Where are we going with this?" he sounds tired.

I bite my lip. He is tired. Tired of all the drama. Tired of acting. Tired of the management.

Tired of me being a jerk to him.

And, honestly, I can't blame him.

He has full right to be mad at me.

I remember that day...

The day they took him away

The love of my life, light of my eyes, spark of my heart.
